WELCOME

The 2017 Governor’s Business Forum focuses on a business perspective of how Wyo-ming can use innovation and entrepreneurship to overcome the dynamics of changes facing education, minerals, tourism, agriculture, and the entire state economy.

With the dynamics of Wyoming’s industries changing, we must focus on innovation and fostering our entrepreneurial spirit to broaden fiscal opportunities in our traditional industries. We are combining national fiscal and trade experts and Wyoming experts along with tech firms, ag innovators, leaders in the tourism and natural resource industries and local community efforts to highlight a path to move forward.

ABOUT THE FORUMThe Wyoming Business Alliance/Wyoming Heritage Foundation has staged this prestigious forum for 35 years, bringing together top-notch speakers to discuss economic strategies and attracting the state’s largest assemblage of business, civic, and political leaders.

Carrying on the legacy of their father, Paul and Patrick have continued Cyclone Drilling as the Rocky Mountain drilling contractor of choice since 1975.Carrying on the legacy of their father, Patrick and Paul Hladky have continued Cyclone Drilling as the Rocky Mountain drilling contractor of choice since 1975 and have been great community champions in Gillette. Born and raised in Gil-lette, the brothers worked their way through high school for their father’s drilling company in the oilfields around Gillette. After graduating as an all-state wrestler, Patrick moved to Ft. Collins to attend Colorado State University. Paul attended Montana Tech on a football scholarship and received his degree in engineering. Upon graduating college, the brothers returned to Gillette to work in the family business. Together, they saw the company grow from a small drilling company in the Powder River Basin to a 700+ employee company drilling up and down the Rockies from New Mexico to North Dakota.

The Hladky family believes an educated workforce is critical to economic devel-opment. Patrick has helped the local Catholic school grow and advance to a K-12 high-level educational institution. Patrick’s most recent project was to lead the effort in getting an applied sciences or STEM lab integrated into the curriculum. As a community member, Paul is incredibly invested in seeing local charities suc-ceed, as well as helping to take Gillette College to the next level of educational institution. Paul’s most recent project is a joint venture with the college to create a STEM center, enhancing community access to the applied sciences. The Hlad-kys’ generosity and devotion to the community and state where they live are ever present in all that they do and a testament to the community where they were raised.
