The dust bowl occurred when the great depression was in full swing. This not only made it difficult to make a living, but it also

was difficult to survive.

Page 8: The Dust Bowl

Since people had to move away from the dustbowl, states like

California became overpopulated.

Scorpions came in mass numbers during the Dust Bowl. Add their stings and dust and your eyes, you’ll probably think that scene was terrible.

(Part of the dust bowl was in the Texas panhandle where deserts occurred in Texas).

Page 16: The Dust Bowl

When the grass turned into dust, it caused “black blizzards” which were the dust bowl’s dust storms. These storms made it

often for people to be in poverty.

Page 17: The Dust Bowl

The dust blowing around covered houses, suffocated livestock and also made kids sick.

We should also take better care off farms so that the dust bowl won’t happen again.• • • • Credits: original info, images from Mrs. Fry’s wiki, Eugenia, Felix and Vivek did the typing.
