On a quiet summer’s day the sun shines brightly; at

night a thousand small stars dance on the sea. In win-

ter, wind, rain and snow beat against the house.

A home on the coast is tormented by the elements,

caressed and abused by storms. Large glass sections

and an outer door with sidelights let the heavens shine

through, and stand guard when the weather turns foul.

White inner doors with porthole windows welcome in

light, give emphasis to the maritime setting and create

a feeling of space.

A modern apartment is a place for living, entertain-

ing and rendezvous. But an apartment is also an

oasis – a retreat for rest and contemplation. With

wenge-stained interior doors your apartment fosters

a clear-headed, warm-hearted feeling. And to create

a cooler ambience, choose doors with a smooth, white

finish. Dooria’s product line also includes apartment

entrance doors that can be matched to your interior

furnishings in both materials, finish and design.

A good exterior door shuts out the cold and lets

in your friends. It is part of the heart and soul of

your home – it´s the first thing people notice and

the last thing they see when they bid farewell. But

a good exterior door say more than this – it also

provides security. Your country lifestyle is high-

lighted by classic four-panel interior doors, while

clear glass also lets daylight shine through to

spaces beyond.

In a stunning location on a cliff by the sea, surrounded by

trees, the house is in the heart of nature. The interior is

reminiscent of the granite rocks and the billowing forest,

and the concrete structure is complemented by solid oak

doors. Sliding doors save space and create a sense of order.

Generous glass surfaces on the interior doors and the

exterior door bid you welcome and create a light and airy

atmosphere.

The alpine world provides unique experiences,

winter, spring, summer or fall. With nature right

on your doorstep you gladly spend time on the bal-

cony just enjoying the view. Skiing and fishing are

but a stone’s throw away, to be rounded off with a

heart-warming sauna. Surroundings like these call

for a time-honoured design vernacular, with shiplap

façades and striking wooden floors and doors, and

solid wood interiors built to last for generations.

Intriguing perspectives in harmony with dramatic natu-

Modernistic architecture is no longer exclusively white

– repeat the colour of your furnishings in your doors, an

The first of the carpentry shops that today form part of Dooria

was founded just over one hundred years ago. We are proud

of our age, and in order to celebrate our anniversary we have

designed a new door – Kungsater Jubilee. It is a classic wooden

door with a contemporary look. A door distinguished by our

history, and imbued with our feeling for design and the crafts-

man’s art. Kungsater Jubilee, with its traditional features in a

modern interpretation, is a door with innumerable applications.

Choosing an exterior door should be easy, even though there are obviously many choices to make. Dooria’s flexible set-up

helps you through the selection process.

There’s a lot to think about – not just fin-ish and design, but also safety, quality, the glass, fittings and other accessories. Dooria’s selection of exterior doors is di-vided into two styles, modern and clas-sic, and there are a number of models to choose from. The system is simple, and we’re pretty sure you’ll find a door that suits you.

F I N I S H A N D D E S I G NAppearance is the first thing we notice. And in this regard doors don’t differ much from anything else, or from people for that matter. So first and foremost you should of course always rely on your own taste when choosing a door for your home. And the possibilities are endless, for the range is enormous – from completely smooth doors to doors with routed details, deco-rative beading, mullions and exciting geo-metric patterns. Dooria’s exterior doors are available finished in thousands of colours, and in oiled or varnished oak and pine. Most of our models can also be sup-plied as paired versions, with or without glassed doorlights.

F O R S A F E T Y ’ S S A K EDooria’s exterior doors are built in a sta-ble, five-layer design and have a very high security standard, with sturdy door jambs, hook bolt locks and security pins even in

their basic versions. The robust design also contributes to the door’s long life. Our doors can be supplied with reinforced fire and noise protection, which involves extra mineral wool insulation and classi-fication according to Swedish fire safety class EI30.

E x T R ADooria’s flexible range of doors provides you with great opportunities of adapting your selection before you place your or-der. Choose a handle that suits the door and your home from our assortment of selected quality handles from HOPPE – with finishes and mechanisms that last and last. And why not complement your exte-rior door with sidelights to give the entry extra breadth and create a welcoming at-mosphere in the hallway.

A L M O S T E V E R Y T H I N G I N

O N E C ATA L O G U EYou will find our assortment of exterior doors in the following pages. However, not every imaginable version is included – were we to list every type of handle, edg-ing, glass, finish and combinations of fin-ish, the choices would be almost endless. And that’s the way we like it. Because the choice is yours.

Raised solid wood beading speaks of craftsmanship.

Patterns can be routed into the door; a simple, durable alternative.

The Merit series with its hidden hinges and flush glass provides a contemporary feeling.

Interior doors are so important. The right design, in the right place, has the ability to transform its surroundings.

A well-chosen interior door reflects the style of a home, and also has a complemen-tary quality. An interior door imparts char-acter and style to the décor. Dooria’s range of interior doors is easy to understand and simple to use, and yet we are still able to offer a wealth of designs and features, glass panels and every colour of the rain-bow. Leaf through the following pages, and choose your special favourite.

S T Y L E S A N D D E S I G N S

We wanted to make selecting a door easy, without limiting your choices, so we divid-ed our interior doors into three groups of styles – classic, modern and Addera. You will find traditional panelled doors in dif-ferent designs with many alternative fin-ishes in the classic assortment. Our modern interior doors have contemporary designs, simple lines and interesting features. Final-ly, Addera is a cross-over door with many possibilities – a flexible door to suit almost every setting.

F I N I S H E S A N D W O O D

Dooria’s assortment encompasses both sol-id doors with high sound absorption quali-ties and excellent longevity, and elegant lightweight doors with honeycomb cores. Our interior doors can be delivered in thousands of colours, or in stained or var-nished pine, oak, beach, cherry or birch. If you would like a painted door, then choos-

ing a colour is simple. Because we use the NCS S system – the same system you will find at your decorator centre – it’s easy to have the door finished in exactly the right shade. Pay a visit to your decorator centre and find your favourite colour, or look up the NCS S code on the paint tin you used when you last decorated, and order your door in the same colour. It doesn’t get eas-ier than that.

Y O U R O W N D E S I G NIf you’d like to go a step beyond the choice of model and finish, our Addera series al-lows you to design your own door from the bottom up. Begin by selecting the type of wood and then add finish, any panes of glass and continue by placing one or more applications on the door. Or why not try out our user-friendly software at dooria.net, and let it guide you through the design process.

F E AT U R E S T H AT M A K E A L L T H E

D I F F E R E N C ESolid wood frames, hidden hinges and recessed features in stainless steel – a few little details that make all the differ-ence. And to save floor space, consider complementing your home with a slid-ing door with flush or raised fittings. One or more sliding doors also add a sense of order and elegance to the home – an important aspect in a modern setting.

Hidden hinges are an option that adds value.

Solid wood frames and large panels let the material shine through.

Top lights and sidelights allow you to create a more open, welcoming doorway and a brighter entrance – a noticeable difference for the homeowner and guest alike. For your convenience, Dooria’s top lights and sidelights can easily be supplied in the same colour, type of wood and glass as the door you have selected. You can opt to enhance your door with one or two sidelights, depending on the design of the façade, and your own wishes. Below are some examples of doors suitable for sidelights and top lights.

We provide a number of types of glass for our exterior door models. If you opt for a sidelight to your exterior door you are of course free to choose whether the glass in the door and sidelight shall be the same or different.

A door with glass panels allows light to pass from room to room, even when the door is closed. Dooria provides six different types of glass for interior doors. Choose the glass that suits your door, your taste and your furnishings.

A door jamb fitted with a sealing strip reduces the sound of its closing to a pleasant click, and also reduces the amount of noise the door lets pass. Sealing strips are provided with our door jambs, in colours adapted to jamb colours.

We have colours for every taste – guaranteed. We use the NCS S system – the same system you’ve come across at the local decorator centre – which basically means that Dooria interior doors can be painted any colour you like. So pay a visit to your decorator centre, or get hold of the NCS S code from the last time you painted your indoor walls, and order a door in exactly the right shade. Achieving the perfect result doesn’t get any easier.

Sliding doors save floor space and contribute to an orderly appearance. With a sliding door a doorway appears larger as the door disappears entirely when it is opened. The majority of Dooria’s

interior doors can be supplied in sliding versions, both as single doors and pairs.

W A L L - M O U N T E D S L I D I N G D O O R S

Wall-mounted sliding doors slide along an overhead runner that is installed without encroaching on the wall. The installations have two alternative runners, in hidden or visible versions. Doors that are one module larger than the width of the door opening are used for wall-mounted sliding doors. A space equally as wide as the door is necessary at the side of the opening.

R E C E S S E D S L I D I N G D O O R S

Recessed sliding doors are completely hid-den when open. The doors are hung from a beam structure built into the wall. Ev-erything required for installation is sup-plied with the delivery of the sliding door jamb. Thanks to the sturdy top runner, a recessed sliding door jamb is able to bear a load of 70 kg.

Dooria’s exterior doors have a very high degree of safety even in their basic versions. We build our doors as a stable and well-designed, five-layer structure. The doors are installed with three hinges with security pins in extra-sturdy frames. Dooria uses energy-saving insulating glass in its exterior doors.

Our Interior doors are supplied in two main designs – solid or moulded. A solid door with panels and and wood frames throughout is heavy, well-constructed and sound absorbing. Our painted solid doors have an MDF surface that provides a smooth, elegant appearance. Our moulded doors are the lighter alternative, built up from form pressed wood fibre panels and honeycomb-type spacer material. Why not complement the design with value-enhancing features such as hidden hinges, stainless steel fittings or one of our special surface treatments.

Our exterior doors are supplied with ASSA Evolution hook bolt locks complemented with cylinders approved by the Swedish Theft Prevention Association SSF. Ask your Dooria supplier for further information.

Models not shown in this catalogue may differ in design.

Dooria doors are manufactured from selected materials and are of high quality. But a door is exposed to wear, both through use and by the forces of nature, and it must be treated properly if it is to withstand stress and maintain it’s appearance.

I N S TA L L I N G E X T E R I O R D O O R S

A door must be installed correctly if it is to last. If you are uncertain as to how the door should be installed, ask a professional. Our exterior doors are approved in section 7b in the Swedish SFDK standards and Norwegian NFDK standards and have good resistance to wind and weather. Be-cause an exterior door is constantly affected by the elements it should be installed in a protective porch. The porch roof should protrude at least 120 mm from the wall and be installed no higher than 100 mm above the exterior door.

E X T E R I O R O A K D O O R SDooria’s oiled exterior doors have already re-ceived basic treatment on delivery. When the door is installed it must be treated with oil immediately, preferably pigmented wood oil, so that it is fully saturated. The door must be oiled to saturation twice yearly. Doors in exposed positions may re-quire maintenance more often.

E X T E R I O R P I N E D O O R SPine doors receive basic oil treatment prior to de-livery. When the door is installed it must be oiled or glazed immediately with naphtha based oil or a glaze suitable for pine. If the door is oiled, the treatment should be repeated annually.

PA I N T E D E X T E R I O R D O O R S

Our painted exterior doors are treated with alkyd paint and have very good weather protection. In order for the paint to maintain its protective func-tion the door should be cleaned regularly, once or more yearly. Clean the door with lukewarm wa-ter, with soap or ammonia-free detergent added as necessary. Doors in bright colours are more sensitive to sunlight and should be waxed and/or polished regularly. Dooria recommends that the door’s surface be treated annually with beeswax for prolonged durability. Scratches and suchlike should be touched-up immediately with a suit-able paint. In the case of larger scratches etc., we recommend the use of filler and base coat on the damaged area.

I N T E R I O R D O O R SInterior doors in wood do best in an even indoor temperature and even humidity. Clean the doors by removing visible dirt whenever the home is cleaned. Where necessary wood doors may be wiped clean with a slightly damp cloth. Liquid soap or ammonia-free detergent may be added to water if dirt is difficult to remove. Clear-varnished interior doors that are stained or glazed, may be re-varnished as necessary. Before re-varnishing, the door must be sanded with fine sandpaper.

An oiled exterior door should be oiled to satura-tion immediately after installation.

A porch roof protects the door against wind and weather.

An oiled pine door should be treated with wood oil or glaze.

Beeswax helps the surface last longer.

D O O r I AThe first carpentry workshop in today’s Dooria group was founded just over 100 years ago. In those days a carpentry shop not only made doors, but also windows, kitchen cabinets and furniture, all of the highest qual-ity. Today Dooria is one of Scandinavia’s premier door manufacturers, with its head office in Stryn in Norway and a total of five factories in Nor-way and Sweden. We are proud of our long history – we take care of the expertise and craftsmanship we have built up over the years and the feel-ing for quality that was so characteristic of the business in the beginning is still with us today. Which is how we are able to say we have never built better doors than we do now.

Dooria serves the project market through Dooria Projekt, a depart-ment that helps with advice to architects, contractors and builders, and takes care of sales of security doors and hall doors. Dooria Pro-jekt also produces project-adapted designs and special technical so-lutions. Our fund of knowledge and experience and our substantial production apparatus makes us the ideal partner for every kind of project, from small to enormous. Feel free to contact us, either via your local distributor or 01355 243918 or at [email protected].

D O O r I A P r O j e K t – F O r t H e P r O S

MeasurementsDoor measurements are given as jamb exterior measurements (KYM), module measurements (M) or door measurements. The jamb measurement indicates the door size including jamb, in mm. The module measurement de-scribes the size the hole in the wall must be to have space for the jamb and door, and is given in decimeters. The door measurement is the exact door blade measurement, excluding jamb, in millimeters. In every case the width is given first, then height.

HangingDoor hanging is indicated from the side the door opens toward, i.e. the side from which the hinges can be seen. To determine the hanging of a door, stand in front of it on the side toward which the door opens. Seen from this position, a door which has its hinges on the right is hung to the right. A door which is hung to the left has the hinges on the left.

ColourColours for painted doors are described and ordered according to the NCS S system.

Pair doorsA symbol next to doors in the catalogue shows which are available in pairs.

Customer-adapted designDesign requirements that are not met by the basic door assortment can be modified as required on the exterior door model Plus and the interior model Addera. The modifications are in respect of versions, features, design and measurements.

Fire and noise classificationGenerally speaking, solid doors have better fire and noise protection qualities than lightweight doors. Dooria has a number of fire and noise classified mod-els. Please refer to our price list or www.dooria.net for further information.

Doors shown in settings in the catalogue illustrations may be customer-adapted. For technical reasons the doors and colour samples shown in the catalogue may differ from reality. Always check colours at your decorator centre. We reserve the right to make changes in our product range and dis-claim responsibility for any misprints etc.
