will be its layout and orientation to the space, the shape of the building, and its relationship to the landscape?
Architectural Programming Comes NextArchitectural Programming is the decision making process that identifies the scope of work for the design services.
1. Project type: Custom home or remodel?
2. Detail goals and objectives for the project
3. Gather information on light, wind, zoning, heights and setbacks
4. Develop strategies: Such as day and night lighting design, use of materials, and the connection between the indoor and outdoor environments

Schematic DesignNext, the designer makes a preliminary evaluation of the program, schedule, budget, and project
site. Based on the evaluations he designs conceptual building floor plans and elevations.
