The program featured international lawyers, Robert L. Friedman, Senior Managing Director and Chief Legal Officer of The Blackstone Group and the Chief Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court, The Honorable Myron T. Steele. The panelists discussed judicial interpretations of material adverse change clauses, other conditionality issues and practical considerations when financing leveraged buyouts. The Symposium was presented by the Private Equity Subcommittee and the M&A Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA). Ms. Habbart is an Officer of the Corporate and M&A Law Committee of the IBA. The Symposium was held in London with over 150 lawyers from around the world in attendance.
