Our Annual Catholic Appeal goal for this year is $38,536.00 and I am confident that we will once again do our part to support the work of the Church. Your generosity and the seriousness with which you take your responsibility as stewards of Gods gifts continue to inspire me. For the followers of Christ, stewardship is not an option or a choice, it is an essential part of their lives. In Matthew 19:21 we read, If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." So, stewardship is not about fundraising to meet a goal - it is not about raising money. Instead, it is a way of living our lives focused on the generosity of God who gives us everything that we have and are. In fact, He even gave to us His only begotten Son so that all of us might have the possibility of eternal happiness in His Kingdom. Generosity, which flows from personal gratitude, is the stance we are to take as Christian stewards of our time, talent and treasure. The word generosity comes from the Latin, meaning "Birth." Every time that we give, we breathe life into the world, the life that the world needs. Generosity is the antidote for greed, self-centeredness, and envy. Generosity makes us one in God, makes us live in solidarity with our neighbors. Let us continue praying for the grace we need to breathe life into the worldthrough our generosity of time, talent and treasure. May we always trust that no matter how generous we are, God will never be outdone. The reality is that the more we give, the more we receive. Sincerely, Fr. Miguel Gonzalez Almighty and merciful God, graciously keep from us all adversity, so that, unhindered in mind and body alike, we may pursue in freedom of heart the thing that are yours. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Annual Catholic Appeal

This is our parish’s Annual Catholic Appeal in-pew Pledge Weekend. Please prayerfully consider making a gift or pledge as your circumstances allow. The Appeal is an authentic sign of Christ’s active presence in our community. Please support this important Appeal not only as a member of our immediate parish family, but also as a member of our larger dioce-san family of faith.

Our Parish goal as always is 100% participation, not just the thirty to forty percent that are always helping. Can you imagine the additional good works that can be accomplished with just a 10% increase in donors? In order to achieve this goal, each of us is asked to prayerfully open our hearts to the needs of our Diocese and make a gift as our individual cir-cumstances allow.

Prayer of the Faithfull

In thanksgiving for this special opportunity the Annual Catholic Appeal affords us to renew our personal commitment to more fully participate as good stewards in Christ’s mission for the Church …. we pray to the Lord.

Sanctuary Flowers Our weekend Flowers are In Memory of Ray & Dolores

Gudmunson from their family.

St. Rose of Lima School St. Rose students are learning what it means to mourn for others during the month of November. Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted. This is our beatitude for the month of November. Students study and practice this beatitude in class and on the playground.
