• 2.25 billion cups of coffee are drunk in the world daily and most of those cups will go to landfill.

• 120,000 tonnes of coffee is consumed annually. (That’s not even when it is diluted, so can you imagine how many more cups that takes, and not many will be recycled.)

• It costs the UK around £1bn to keep the streets clean, and lots of that is unwanted plastic waste.
