• The CrAnBeRrIeS got their name from the long supporting coach and fan named Bill Cranberrie who put all his time and effort into coaching the Fighting Eagles in Denton, TX. After his death in 1986, the town only felt that it would be right to change the Eagles name to ThE CrAnBeRrIeS in memory of him keeping the original mascot.
