Cost

Each Chorus student will receive free admission into EPCOT Center and Disney Springs. We may ask for

a transportation fee to offset the cost of the busses, which will be $20.00 (cash only). Please refer to the

following pages on when to submit your monies for this expense.

Food + Ancillary Items Upon arriving to Keeth in the morning, please make sure your child has a good breakfast to keep them

energized throughout the morning in the park! In the event hunger does strike, bagged lunches and

snacks are permitted in EPCOT Center. You may also elect to equip your child with $20.00 cash to

purchase concession food or other dining.

Chaperoning Disney Performing Arts has allocated us with 2 chaperones per 10 performing students (a 1:5 chaperone

to student ratio). Chaperones will be responsible for the safety, well-being, and supervision of students

at ALL TIMES and assist Mr. Litt throughout the day if necessary. Please see chaperoning information on

the following pages if you’re interested in chaperoning for this trip.

Repertoire The Cougar Chorus will be singing selections from “North Pole Musical” our 2016 Winter Musical. All

lyrics and music must be memorized for this performance and these material can be found via our music

website www.keethmusic.net/chorus

That’s about it for right now! You will receive another update with more information on this

exciting venture shortly. For now, ensure that your child has the appropriate dress of the Black Cougar

Chorus Shirt, Black Pants, and Black Shoes for the performance. You can purchase the pants and dress

shoes at many retailers including The Children’s Place, Wal-Mart, and Target.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at any time. Thank you for

your time and I look forward to singing at the Happiest Place on Earth!

Musically yours,

Mr. Jason Litt

Epcot/Disney Springs Chorus Field Trip Permission Form

On Tuesday, December 20th, the Keeth Cougar Chorus will be taking a field trip to Walt

Disney World’s EPCOT and will be performing at Walt Disney World’s Disney Springs’ Waterside

Stage at 4:00pm.

Students will board buses at approximately 7:00am and travel as a group to EPCOT where

they will spend a majority of the morning and early afternoon at the park and then travel as a group

to Disney Springs to set up for a finale performance of music from our 2016 Winter Musical “North

Place Musical”.

Students will be separated into groups of approximately 4 and led throughout the park by

designated chaperones. Chaperones will be responsible for leading them to attractions, dining

areas, restrooms, and other areas of interest. Students must stay with their designated chaperone

and group at ALL times during their time in EPCOT Center. Students may bring up to $20 of

spending money to use at their leisure throughout the day.

As this is a school-sponsored field trip, students are to understand and follow school rules

and procedures. Behavior in EPCOT Center and Disney Springs is paramount, and must be

controlled at all times throughout our stay on Disney property. Although we do want students to

have a terrific time at the parks, please keep in mind we are representing Keeth Elementary and

want to be known as a class act, in and outside of our school grounds.

The cost for this trip will be a $20.00 cash fee which will secure charter buses for our trip.

We will set aside TWO DAYS for this money to be submitted with the permission form below. Cash

will not be accepted before or after this date. Please see the schedule below for these dates:

$20.00 and this permission form are due for 4TH GRADE CHORUS at rehearsal on Tues, Nov 29th

$20.00 and this permission form are due for 5TH GRADE CHORUS at rehearsal on Wed, Nov 30th

I give my child _____________________________________ permission to attend the Chorus

field trip to EPCOT/Disney Springs on December 20, 2016. My child understands behavior

expectations for this trip and will abide by these expectations throughout the duration of the

trip.

Parent Signature ___________________________________________ Date: ______________

*** THIS PERMISSION FORM AND MONIES DUE ON

TUE, 11/29 (4th Grade) or WED 11/30 (5th Grade) ***

Chaperone Survey

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the fourth page! As we’ve mentioned before, Disney has permitted us to

send 1 chaperone per every 5 students. A chaperone’s main responsibility is the supervision of

our chorus students, and secondarily leading the students throughout the park to visit

attractions. We are using this survey to put out a feeler on who would be interested in

chaperoning the EPCOT Center/Disney Springs trip. This is not a ”sign-up” per se, but just an

interest form.

Potential chaperones:

- Must be an approved dividend at Seminole County Public Schools

- Must have an innate sense of responsibility of student management

- Must be available from 7:00am – 7:00pm on December 20th

- Must pay an additional $20.00 cash to cover transportation fees (student fees are

separate from chaperone fees).

Please understand if we do not have room on the bus we ask for you

to meet us at Disney’ Epcot to meet us to chaperone – under this

condition, the $20.00 cash fee will be waived)

Again, we are just gauging interest from parents who believe they fill these

qualifications. If you would like to be considered for a chaperone for the EPCOT/Disney Springs

Trip, please fill out the information below and return to Mr. Litt by Thursday, December 1st.

Surveys after Thursday, December 1st will not be accepted. If you have any questions or

concerns, please feel free to contact me at anytime. Thank you and I look forward to hearing

back from you!
