SYNOPSISConventionally, wireless-controlled robots use RF circuits, which have the drawbacks of limited working range, limited frequency range and limited control

As we know the device we can use which having global network is only mobile phone ,which can be used by general user easily.

Page 4: The complete project report slideshow

So we have used mobile phone and its network to make a Remote vehicle which have global range.

A general user can easily operate this vehicle by reading it’s the instruction Sheet.

Use of a mobile phone for robotics control can overcome these limitations. It provides the advantages of robust control, working range as larger as the coverage area of the service provider, no interference with other controllers and up to twelve controls.

INTRODUCTIONIn this project, the vehicle is controlled by the mobile phone that makes a call to the mobile phone attached to the vehicle. Then The call is received by a mobile phone fixed On the vehicle.

Then according to the key pressed by the user mobile phone the vehicle will move and change its direction of motion

Then according to the key pressed by the user mobile phone the vehicle will move and change its direction of motion

When the user will press any key from the key pad of the mobile then corresponding Tones are generated with respected to the key pressed

This tones are called DTMF (Dual Tone Multiple Frequency)

BLOCK DIAGRAM DESCRIPTION

1. This block diagram consist three blocks with two mobiles connected.

2. One mobile is connected as transmitter and other one is used as Receiver.3. The DTMF decoder block receives the DTMF signal from the receiver mobile.4. The decoder gives a binary signal that is feed to the microcontroller.

6. The motor driver block boost ups the current keeping the operating voltage constant.

7. In this way the motor runs according to the key pressed as per user.

5. Microcontroller gives the programmed output as per the requirement to drive the motors.

WORKINGIn order to control the vehicle, you need to make a call to the cell phone attached to the robot from any phone, which sends DTMF tunes on pressing the numeric buttons. The cell phone in the robot is kept in ‘auto answer’ mode. So after a ring, the cell phone accepts the call. Now you may press any button on your mobile to perform action as listed in the table below.

The DTMF tones thus received by the cell phone attached with the vehicle .These tones are fed to the circuit by the head set of cell phone.

The MT8870 decodes the received tone and sends the equivalent binary number to the microcontroller .According to the program in the microcontroller, the binary data is produced by the microcontroller

When you press key ‘2’ (in binary 00000010) on your mobile phone the Microcontroller output ’00000010’ binary equivalent. Port 0.1 are high and all other are low .The high output at PD0 of the microcontroller is input to the motor driver (L293D}

The same data appears at the out put so that back motor moves forward because we have connected the first two bit to the back motor and third and fourth bit to the front motor .

In this way the vehicle moves forward. Similarly, motor M1 and M2 move for left turn, right turn, backward motion and stop condition as per the table .

ADVANTAGE1 .Can be used as a vehicle for detecting the mines, explosive materials etc. in military application. 2. Can be used as spy application.3. Can be used is places at human unreachable places .e.g. pipe lines etc.4. It can be used for making much industrial application.5. It can be used for making many user friendly devices, equipments, toys etc

Page 16: The complete project report slideshow

ADVANTAGES1. The global range (as it uses the GSM network).2. No multiple user interference with out knowledge of the user.3. More speed of operation.4. Using this technique the cost of the vehicle in which it is used raises a lot which is profit for company.

Page 17: The complete project report slideshow

DISADVANTAGES1. Call cost while operation.2. Network should be available.3. Misuse of the vehicle is possible by getting the number of the SIM.

Page 18: The complete project report slideshow

FUTURE ENHANCEMENT•We have left remaining 24 pins for future enhancement. •We can control more no of operation by the remaining pins.•We can use this for industrial application.•We can make a real automated vehicle with out driver.•To increase the security of controlling the vehicle can be obtained by getting uniquely accessible SIM number.

Page 19: The complete project report slideshow

CONCLUSIONFrom this project we have concluded that even if there is some disadvantages also but the advantage we are getting that is global network for operation ignores all the disadvantage.
