Prayer of Thanks for our Nation's Independence
God our Father, your Son Jesus spoke to us a
message of peace and taught us to live as broth-
ers and sisters.
His message took form in the vision of our
Founding Fathers, as they fashioned a nation
where all people might live as one.
This message lives on in our midst as a task for
us today and a promise for tomorrow.
We thank you, Father, for your blessings in the
past, and for all that, with your help, we must
yet achieve.
Bless our nation and bless each of us. As we
thank you for our independence, may we extend
its blessings to our youngest brothers and sisters,
the children in the womb.
Hasten the day when our nation will be a
nation with liberty and justice, not just for
some, but for all, through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Balancing Prayer and Work: Dancing the Delicate
Dance Presenter: Michael Boover Many of us seek to
live a life that balances leisure and labor but are hard-
pressed to actually do so. This retreat invites partici-
pants to explore the “ins and outs” of the spiritual life
by opening to inner and outer movements that may
prove helpful and hopeful in the daily round of faith.
Participants will be invited to integrate needed con-
templation with blessed activism in their particular
life circumstances. 9:15 am – 4:00 pm (Registration
begins at 8:30 am) Lunch and Mass included in the
program. Suggested Donation: $45 per person

Remembering St Brendan's and St Ann's
in your will
Many people have given bequests over the
years to our parish collaborative and we are
grateful for their generosity. Gifts and bequests
are a line item in our parish budgets and as the
fiscal year comes to a close some have inquired
about the logistics of giving a large or small gift
as part of your estate planning. If you would
like more information about how this can be
done in loving memory of anyone in your life
please contact our finance manager Nancy Lafoe
or any member of our finance councils. May
the Lord continue to inspire us to be cheerful
givers.
