Dear Friends,

At this time of year, it’s a pleasure to look forward to a summer of great music to cherish with friends and family. The 47th annual Blossom Music Festival is waiting for you. Please take a moment to read through all the terrific programs inside and then join us to hear the world’s finest orchestra playing the greatest music in the most beautiful of summer settings … pure and simple.

The 2014 Blossom concert schedule provides a superb array of concert programs from Independence Day to Labor Day. Music Director Franz Welser-Möst will conduct a concert featuring Brahms, Yo-Yo Ma will perform the Elgar Cello Concerto, and the season will kick off with Dvorák’s “New World” Symphony. These performances, alongside marvelous programs such as “Carmina Burana,” “Broadway Standing Ovations,” and “Hollywood Under the Stars” will make this a summer season to remember.

We welcome everyone, whether seasoned or first-time subscribers, whether music lovers of Beethoven, Brahms, or the Beatles, to join us to hear the greatest outdoor music anywhere: The Cleveland Orchestra at the Blossom Music Festival.

Best regards,

Gary HansonExecutive DirectorThe Cleveland Orchestra
