dam’s vibrant space speaks to his creativ-ity and eye for design. His apartment remains an ongoing project, as many beautifully designed spaces do. As a photographer, he is an ever constant traveler, hand picking unique pieces along the way. Living in Pitts-burgh he has also found some of his favorite pieces at local galleries and shops. 

Prior to moving in, his Upper Lawrenceville apartment was painted a pumpkin orange and olive green. Instead of following his instinct to paint everything gray and white, Adam embraced the challenge choosing art and furniture that accentuated the apartment. The result is a mix of worn woods and punchy art best exemplified by his collection old religious Santos (seen above) in his dining space.

“My art collection is always a work in progress.  I have collected art since I was young and feel that as your taste and life changes, so does your collec-tion depending on your influence, work, etc. – and I believe your house should do the same. “

His living room gallery wall, which he notes is intentional void of photography, is a great exam-ple of his continuously changing style. Pieces never stay long and are always rotating out with original paintings and drawings he’s found along his travels.  It is all about finding what works best which ‘does not always happen right away.’

An apartment with this eclectic style takes time and patience. Adam’s style is not a search to decorate, but instead a constant journey to find the pieces that speak to him and inspire a home of creativity and expression.

New to town, or just a new neighborhood? If you haven’t tried transit before maybe now is the time.Port Authority has convenient and frequent service to and from the urban areas of Pittsburgh.

East Liberty is the heart of the East End’s transit service. Many Port Authority bus routes use theEast Busway to bypass local traffic including the P1 and P3 from East Liberty’s busway station which offerquick rides to Downtown and Oakland. Various other routes have stops on Penn Ave. and serve just aboutanywhere in the East End of the city.

Living Downtown? You CAN get anywhere from here. You can catch a bus or T to almost anywhere inAllegheny County. Groceries in the Strip District, take the 88. For all the flavor of Lawrenceville the 91 works.Nearly all of Port Authority's 100 routes travel in and out of Downtown.

P1 back home only to drop your bags off and head back out with your roommate to Lawrenceville to finish up the final touches for her outfit for Sarah & Tom’s wedding this weekend. You could take the bus, but who knows what you will find or where else you will need to go, so ZipCar it is!

8:15pmCrisis averted, she found everything for the wedding. Back at home, it’s a lazy rest of the night with guilty pleasure reality TV, Noodlehead take-out and texts to all your college friends you will see at the wedding.

8:45am You are late. But you are always late, so that’s noth-ing new. And you are never too late to walk over to Zeke’s (6015 Penn Ave) to grab a latte before zipping to the Busway to grab the P1 to town. Nine minutes later you are walking through your Downtown office doors. Is it five yet?

12:10pm Lunch time. But still not five yet….

4:59pmAdiós Downtown. Walk over to the P1 and fly back to East Lib avoiding the chaos that is Penn & Liberty Ave during rush hour traffic.

5:15pm Before heading back to your place, you head over to Whole Foods (5880 Centre Ave) and grab some breakfast and lunch stuff for the rest of the week.

6:25pm After relaxing and a quick snack at your place, you realize you are almost late (surprise, surprise) for yoga. Lucky for you, your studio is a short three block stroll and in three minutes flat you have your mat unrolled and ready to practice.
