Chapter 2:

Bella's P.O.V

I awoke in an unfamiliar room of dull white. An

extremely bright light shown above me, blinding me for several seconds. I glanced down at myself and noticedeven more cuts and bruises than usual. There was anenormous gash along the side of my leg. I also noticed Iwas connected to a numerous amount of machinery.Inspecting the room, were the familiar walls of Forks

Memorial Hospital. What had happened to me? I faintlyremembered being carried into an ambulance. My mindwas struggling to find out what happened when it hitme...

*Flashback*

I was driving, till all of the sudden, the car swerved, spinning wildly out of control. I tried hitting the brakeand that resulted in the car skidding off the highwayand onto the side of the road, the car tilted and fell over

onto the passenger's side, resulting in a echoing crashof the windows shattering. I felt the sickening slice of the back of my head as the seatbelt gave out and

mashed me into the shattered glass. That was when I smelt the rusty scent of my blood seeping out of mybody and into the mangled car.

*End of Flashback*I gasped in acknowledgment as I realized that had

happened to me. As soon as the gasp was out a doctor sauntered in and looked up in absolute surprise that Ihad woken up. The doctor was completely stunning.Golden blond-colored hair, super pale skin, andimpossibly beautiful.

“Hello, My name is Dr. Cullen. You're Isabella

Swan, correct?” He asked, his voice smooth as silk. Inodded incoherently diverting my eyes from him, tryingto find a distraction. He smiled and walked toward me. Ilooked up at him and then down at myself.

“How bad am I?” I asked, embarrassed. He told me

that I had a broken leg, a million cuts and bruises (kindof exaggerating, but still), and a couple of broken ribs. Igroaned as he said this, when all of the sudden the mostattractive guy on the planet walked in. It had to be Dr.Cullen's son, because not only did they look alike, but

they were both unbelievably gorgeous. The boy lookedat me with longing as if he wanted to ask something, butinstead he just walked up to his father.

“Carlisle, we need to talk.” He said in a firm tone ashe gazed at me beautifully.

“Yes, Edward, one moment, let me finish up withBella first...” Carlisle said to him dismissively, appearing caught up in his paperwork. So, Edward was

the boys name, it fit him quite well actually. He was sobeautiful, and I saw overwhelming love in his eyesdirected toward me. I gave him a small smile. His eyessparkled in delight and grinned crookedly at me. Hissmile is absolutely breathtaking. Heck! He's exquisite! So magnificent...

“Okay... I'll wait in the hall...” Edward sighed, hissilhouette gliding toward the door. He glanced back atme, gave me a small smile, and slid through the opendoor.

Edward's P.O.V

“Okay... I'll wait in the hall...”

The girl I'd just seen, Bella... there wasn't even a

word to describe her beauty, her magnificent beauty. She was gorgeous, infinitely more than gorgeous.Nothing could compare to what I felt for her. I wanted

to hold her tight, not letting any danger come to such anamazing creature.

This morning when I'd seen her.... The pain wasabsolutely tortuous. What hurt her, hurt me. I could seethat now, that she was what Carlisle would call my

“mate”. The person I would do anything, unquestionably, for. She was the brightest star in myown personal heaven. I needed her, and I will doanything to get her, Bella. My Bella.
