I write this message for myself and my fellow co-President Brian Winters. I hope everyone is doing well. Summer comes and goes very quickly. It is a season that brings many members back to both our main shul and satellite shul. It is a season in which re-kindle relations with our wonderful summer crowd and begin relationships with the many new faces that we see and greet. I always look forward to this. Reflection is always a good thing---change in a positive direction is also a good thing. As I sit and reflect, I can't help but think of the wonderful events of the year and the volunteers that made them possible. Shul life CANNOT exist without the help of many, and most go about their business unnoticed and not being thanked enough. I now thank you ALL for your hard work and dedication to CBI. Certain events are sticking out in my mind. Among them is the continued success of the Roz Fisher Rummage Sale, which would not be possible without the leaders and the "posse" of volunteers. The weekly Kiddush at both synagogues would not be possible without the hard work of many. The events that we had at the shul would not have occurred, giving us wonderful memories and good times shared by all. Included in that this year would certainly be the Maccabeats.

    FALL 2017

    GREETINGS to all my fellow

    congregants! I write this

    message for myself and my

    fellow co-President Brian

    Winters. I hope everyone is

    doing well.

    Summer comes and goes very

    quickly. It is a season

    that brings many members

back to both our main shul

and satellite shul. It is a

    season in which re-kindle

    relations with our wonderful

    summer crowd and begin

    relationships with the many

new faces that we see and

    greet. I always look forward

    to this.

    Reflection is always a good

    thing---change in a positive

    direction is also a good

    thing.

As I sit and reflect, I

can't help but think of the

    wonderful events of the year

    and the volunteers that made

    them possible. Shul life

    CANNOT exist without the

help of many, and most go

    about their business

    unnoticed and not being

    thanked enough. I now thank

you ALL for your hard work

    and dedication to CBI.

    Certain events are sticking

out in my mind. Among them

    is the continued success of

    the Roz Fisher Rummage Sale,

    which would not be possible

    without the leaders and the

    "posse" of volunteers. The

    weekly Kiddush at both

    synagogues would not be

    possible without the hard

    work of many. The events

that we had at the shul

    would not have occurred,

    giving us wonderful memories

    and good times shared by

    all. Included in that this

    year would certainly be the

    Maccabeats.

    *Deceased Members

  • We are always a "family" to those in

need. Appeals by the Rabbi are always

heard and your generosity is always

    there and greatly appreciated.

Now, I want to make mention of the

change in our shul staff. We thank

Barbara Hydrusko for her many years of

dedication and hard work. We wish her

a happy and healthy retirement! With

the retirement of Barbara, we got to

    welcome our new Shul Administrator,

Amy Greenspan. Not only is Amy a new

    addition, but her professional and

    cheerful attitude have largely

    enhanced the shul office

    administration. Amy is ably

    complemented by Deidre Anderson. What

    a great team they make.

    Aforementioned are some things to

ponder and remember. Now as we get

ready for Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur

and Sukkot, let us prepare for new

memories to be made as we approach the

    holiday season. The season is

spiritually led by Rabbi Braun, Cantor

    Greenberg, and Rabbi Sher. CBI's

    continued success is dependent upon

    many things. These include

    volunteering, getting involved with

    Shul activities, and contributing to

our "Tree of Life" campaign. Your

generous donations are NEEDED for our

financial success. Please to help and

contribute your thoughts as well. We

    always welcome new thoughts and

    suggestions.

Finally, on behalf of my co-President

    Brian Winters, the entire Executive

    Board and Congregational Board, I

would like to wish everyone a happy

and healthy new year and wonderful

holiday season! With the help of

    Hashem, may our shul, Congregation

Brothers of Israel, continue to grow

    and prosper.

    Shana Tova!
