THE CATHOLIC COMMUNITY
WE ARE PART OF GOD’S FAMILY, THIS CONNECTS US WITH MILLIONS OF PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD.
.Watch the clip below to find out how Jesus met Peter.https://youtu.be/4mRhJSEF8xk
Who was Peter?Peter was the brother of Andrew, he was a fisherman on Lake Galilee. Peter didn’t consider himself a good man, when he saw Jesus perform the miracle of producing hundreds of fish on a fishing trip, Peter falls to his knees and exclaims, “‘Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!’” (Luke 5:8 ). Yet Jesus looked at this wicked man and said, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.” (Luke 5:10).
Don’t be afraid, from now on you will fish
for people
What do you think Jesus
meant when he said this to
Peter?
Peter was originally called Simon but Jesus changed his name to Peter which means ‘rock’. Jesus told Peter ‘Upon this rock I will build my Church’
What do you think Jesus meant by
this? Why would someone choose to build something on rock, why not sand
or mud?
Ask your parents what they think
NOW PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD FOLLOW JESUS AND ARE PART OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.Can you find Rome on the map of Italy?
