The Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School Proposed changes to the admission arrangements for the academic year of entry 2018/2019 Consultation on proposed changes to the admission arrangements for the academic year 2018/2019 The Academy Trust is consulting on its proposed Admission Policy for entry in September 2018. This consultation is for the attention of parents of children between the ages of two and eighteen, other persons in the area who have an interest in the proposed arrangements, all other admission authorities within the local area, the local authority, any adjoining neighbouring local authorities and the Diocese of Westminster. The consultation will close on Tuesday 20 December 2016. The proposed changes are: • Year 7 – To increase the published admission number (PAN) from 120 pupils to 124 pupils and to replace references to ‘Catholic boys from fully practising Catholic families’ with ‘Catholic boys with a Certificate of Catholic Practice’. • Year 12 – To replace references to ‘Fully practising Catholic candidates’ with ‘Catholic candidates with a Certificate of Catholic Practice’ and to replace the requirement for minimum qualifications in English Language to English (language or literature). The proposed policies and forms are attached.
