39 no dimension of any calculation in time or space, nor any device yet to beinvented, has what it takes to separate us from the love of God demon-strated in Christ. Jesus is our Master.

    Romans 8:38,39 The Mirror

After thinking about these truths I even ponder to myself How could I havepossibly forgot this?. In the midst of my longing to truly know God, honestlyI could say I forgot Jesus all together. Even though, he was at the forefront of mind. I forgot the truth about him that at Calvary any means of distance ordelay was done away with forever!

So here I am wallowing in the midst of my regret and frustration about how Iwent about things all these years. How could I forgot that God is always withme? And again I reminded of another truth:

Gods Word is not under threat! In fact if all of humanity fails, truth remainsintact. Truth is rooted in God; it is neither challenged nor vindicated by mansexperience. (Truth doesnt become true only if someone believes it.) Contra-diction does not intimidate or diminish the faith of God. (What God believesabout man, does not change through mans unfaithfulness. God remains con-vinced about us.)Scripture records that God stands justified in His own Word; it confirms thatGods promise and purpose are not compromised through mans failure;neither is Gods reputation threatened by mans behaviour.Romans 3:4 The Mirror

In context of this being said I asked myself these questions do my beliefsabout God challenge the truth and reality of who he really is? Is he broughtdown to my level and forced to abide by my beliefs about who he really is? Ihonestly, do not think this is the case but I believe that my perception has of-ten jaded the reality of what is really going on. As Bill Johnson puts it bestGod is bigger than His Book which means one simple thing to me that Godis beyond my understanding of His word.

After thinking all of this through I have decided that I want to pursue simplici-ty. I think Paul put it best when he said I resolve to know nothing but Christ

and Him Crucified. It was that event that all humanity was changed and untilI can learn to filter everything through that reality I will continue to have a jaded perspective.
