three sleepers attached to the regular train leaving the Union Station at 930 P M This number was augmented by parties along the route from Louisville to Kansas City until on leaving the latter city the train consisted of seven Pull ¬ man sleepers A jollier crowd never went down over the Rock Island Road The heavy train caused the party to reach Dalhart three hours late finding every hotel in town already full by the four previous excursion trains that had unloaded at this point that day Our party was compelled to occupy their berths on the sleeper for the first night after this we were comfortably located at the different hotels a goodly number having rooms at the St Francis and others at the Dalhart The drawing for the lots purchased in Dalhart took place Friday morning at the man sleepers A jollier crowd neverwent down over the Rock Island RoadThe heavy train caused the party toreach Dalhart three hours late findingevery hotel in town already full by thefour previous excursion trains that hadunloaded at this point that day Ourparty was compelled to occupy theirberths on the sleeper for the first nightafter this we were comfortably locatedat the different hotels a goodly numberhaving rooms at the St Francis andothers at the Dalhart
