Armação de Búzios, the famous seaside that is

located in the north of the state of Rio de Janeiro

and about three hours away. Buzios became famous

internationally in the 60´s, after the visit of the

French Celebrity Brigitte Bardot.

Nowadays Buzios is known as the Brazilian Saint-

Tropez with a charming peninsula with 8 km long

and 23 beautiful beaches to choose. If from one side

the peninsula gets currents from Ecuador, from the

other side gets currents from the south pole, so

Búzios beaches can offer both warm water and cold

water. Among the main beaches stand out Geribá,

João Fernandes, Ferradura, Armação, Manguinhos,

Tartaruga and Ossos.

Discovering Búzios Surroundings Arraial do Cabo & Cabo Frio

Arraial do Cabo is a beautiful region blessed with

extraordinary nature and paradisiacal beaches

know as the "Brazilian Capital for Diving”. The

combination of transparent waters with their very

white sand makes this coast one of the Brazilian

main spots for deep sea fishing and diving. The

abundant marine fauna is mainly due to

oceanographic phenomenon called “upwelling”,

that consists in the rise of deep and rich-

nutrients waters to shallower regions of the

ocean.

Since it’s a region of intense fishing economical

activity, a seafood lunch at Cabo Frio town will be

mandatory! Absolutely delicious! After lunch

we’ll stop at the “São Mateus Fort”, one of the

principal post cards in the region. Passing by the

historic center, famous for the colonial houses

from the 19th century.

On the way back to Búzios one last stop to have

some free time at the Biquinis Street famous for

their innumerous options for shopping.
