The Challenge To create a game to be
played by students which can act as a study aid.
We worked as a team of 4.
As the technical person on the team I created the graphics.

Game Overview The rules of the Brain Game
are structured in a way that players learn as much as possible about the brain by repetition and by co-operative learning. As the first player completes a round, they then share their knowledge with the rest of the players.

Game Overview continued
All four players must have completed the round before the game can move up to the next round, thereby encouraging co-operation.
The questions are repetitive in content, although they are asked in a different way for each level:

The Questions
Three levels 1. Beginners-True or False,2. Intermediate-Multiple Choice, 3. Advanced-Straight questions.
A player has completed a level when he/she has answered a question correctly in all 8 sections.

When all the cards are gone from the centre of the board, there’s a “clearing of the decks”
The person with the most cards begins by calling out their spare questions; (i.e. if they have more than one card in any section).
The player next in line to finish, gets first choice to answer, and so on. When the first person has cleared all their spare cards, the next player clears their spare cards in the same way.
When everyone has gathered all of their cards, all players move up to the next level.

The Game
This is a complex game – It takes 2-3hrs to play. We developed 240 questions in total.
I really enjoyed working on the concept of the game and developing the learning strategies.
