LA STORIA IN ITALIANO

• Nella Mitologia greca, il Cinghiale di Erimanto era un poderoso e ferocissimo cinghiale che viveva sul monte Erimànto e che terrorizzava tutta la regione: Ercole lo catturò vivo e lo portò ad Euristeo che per la paura si nascose in una botte. La sua cattura fu la terza delle dodici fatiche di Eracle.

THE ENGLISH STORY

• The third difficulty for Heracles was to capture alive the monstrous boar that lived on the slopes of Mount Erimanth, in Arcadia. The boar terrorized the inhabitants of the region and the hero was sent to help. Heracles drove the boar towards the top of the mountain: the animal could no longer run and then jumped into the Heracles croup and chained his legs. Then he took it on the shoulder and led him to Argo and show it to Euristheus. When the king saw him, he was seized by great fear and went to take refuge in a bronze jar.
