Chances are, if you are reading this book, you have to give a Best Man’s toast.

And, if you have been to a wedding or two, chances are, you have seen a toast or two that went really wrong. Or had every guest questioning the groom’s choice in wingman. In all likelihood, you are hoping to do better.

Don’t worry. You’ve come to the right place. This book was written specifically for you—the guy who loves the guy getting married but is not quite sure how to tell him so in front of a room full of people you may or may not know.

Introduction

Before you get started.

We want to make sure you have the absolute best experience possible as you write your toast. To do that, there are a couple of things

we want to point out before you get started.

To compile the individual sections into your

complete toast, you have 2 options:

• You can simply copy and paste the content from

each worksheet into a single document on your

computer or device. This is the fastest and easiest

way to go.

• Or, you can hand write each section onto note

cards or paper. While this may sound like a lot of

work, it will help you become familiar with your

toast. This exercise is also part of the practice

techniques provided in the ebook—so it’s really

the whole two birds, one stone thing. Either way,

the choice is all yours.

1. For the best experience, it is important that you have the latest version of

Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you don’t or if you’re not sure, you can download

2. Make sure you download the pdf of your ebook to your local computer

Why Is This Important?

Well, he did it. Your friend, your comrade, your cohort, your brother (by blood or by soul), your boy. He bent his

knee, held out the ring, and said, “Be my wife.” She said yes and immediately began planning the wedding.

When you heard, you hugged him. You told him he was a sly dog. He gripped your shoulder, held out his

hand, and said, “Be my Best Man.” You said yes and immediately began planning the bachelor party.

Congratulations! As Best Man, you are one of the most important men in the Groom’s life. The role

of Best Man is a distinction, but you need to remember there are some key wedding day responsibilities that

come with the title, not the least of which is honoring the Groom and his Bride with a wedding feast toast.

Raising a glass to the happy couple is a wedding tradition dating back to the 6th century B.C. (no lie).

So you definitely want to get this right, right?

There are two ways to approach this privilege.

1. You can put it out of your mind (because it’s scary) until you take your seat at the reception head table—then wing it. Though there’s little to be gained by this approach and much to lose. Your dignity, for example. The Groom’s respect. The Bride’s approval.

2. Or you can invest some time, some thought, and some effort to author a tribute that will celebrate the Groom, win the Bride’s affection, and impress every guest at the wedding.

Clearly, you are going with #2. Good choice!
