Youth Pastor Guide The Bee Squad 4 WEEKS Bulletin Blurb Some friends who were known in their childhood as The Bee Squad are reunited after they’re denied access to their high school prom. They decide to try and figure out how to sneak in, but they find themselves in a series of situations which raise some strong emotions they realize they need to deal with. Ecclesiastes 3:1,4 Wk 3 (April 20) Deal with how you feel. Luke 6:45 Wk 4 (April 27) You choose to let your emotions build you up or tear you down. Proverbs 15:13, Prov. 17:22 SERIES NOTES For this series, make sure your leaders are trained up on how to handle students who share heavy stuff. Walk them through the process they need to take if a student communicates harm to themselves or harm to others. Pay particular attention to Week 3 as we ask students to share what they’re dealing with. This series is a short-film format that will be followed by you giving a message wrap-up. In your wrap-up, the goal will be to bridge the gap from the short film to the practical and spiritual application for the students’ lives. Unpack everything that happened in the video to help illustrate the practical and spiritual takeaways. For the Week 1 Wrap-Up, there will be four images/screen shots that you will need to show on the side screens as you do the talk. Make sure you have those cued up and ready to display. The four images can be found on Switch leader page for The Bee Squad series. They will be under Resources for Youth Pastors. Youth Pastors: As you do your wrap-up, make sure to maintain the following from the scripts. 1. The essence of the message 2. The main point 3. The Scripture 4. The take away point/action step There is a YouVersion Bible Plan students will love that’s associated with the series. It’s called How to Be Happy.
