Bamboo releases around 35% more oxygen into the air than similar sized trees, matures much quicker and in turn helps to improve soil conditions and prevent erosion due to not having to be replanted once cut.

Plantations of bamboo require very little maintenance, energy and water to grow. It can also be grown without the need of pesticides or chemicals because of its own anti-bacterial agent.

Bamboo is a grass and great care is taken to preserve the root for future harvesting. When cultivated in this way, the bamboo can naturally keep growing without the need of replanting vast areas of a plantation.

Hardwood alternatives reach maturity in around 25 years. Bamboo only takes 5 years until it is ready to harvest and within just a few months can grow about six feet in height, making it the most sensible, renewable and abundant resource for flooring.

FSC® certification can benefit workers’ communities by improving conditions such as conflict over land tenure and use, worker’s health and safety and protection of endangered species.

The FSC® supports socially beneficial forest management programs, helping both local people and societies to enjoy long term benefits. This provides strong incentives to local people for them to sustain the forest resources and adhere to long-term management plans.

Bamboo is an environmentally friendly, renewable source that has been used for thousands of years. In support of responsible management of well managed forests we have worked hard to achieve Forest Stewardship Council® chain of custody certification.

The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) monitor the harvest of timber and non-timber products along with ensuring biodiversity, productivity and ecological processes across the world’s forests.

STRAND WOVEN

The grain is wider and more evident. Strips of bamboo are individually glued together horizontally to form the plank, resulting in a hardness to that of oak flooring.

The grain is thinner and less evident - strips of bamboo are individually glued together vertically to form the plank, resulting in a hardness to that of oak flooring.

The grain is random - strands of bamboo are torn apart and then recompressed with resin under extreme heat and pressure to form the plank. This process makes our strand woven bamboo twice as hard as our horizontal and vertical bamboo.

Our solid tongue and groove board is laid over an underlay. The planks are then placed on top, glued along the length and width and then pushed together. Alternatively, flexible adhesive can be applied onto the sub-floor, the planks are then laid on top and pushed together to complete the installation.

An engineered board with a patended uniclic design, 4mm wear layer of bamboo and plywood base. The planks are simply clicked together using the drop lock system.This can be installed over an underlay or using a flexible adhesive and is compatible with underfloor heating.

Under Floor Heating Underlays

FLEXIBLE ADHESIVESApplied via a trowel onto a concrete or wooden sub floor. Once the adhesive is spread, the flooring is then placed directly on top creating a full surface bond between the plank and the adhesive.

LIQUID DAMP PROOF MEMBRANES AND PRIMERSApplied via a roller, these products form a barrier between the concrete sub-floor and the flooring. Applying this prevents moisture from the concrete attacking the flooring and causing the boards to deform.

These products have been specifically designed so that the heat from your under floor heating system is quickly transferred to the flooring and ultimately your feet. Simply cut to size and lay straight onto your concrete/wooden sub floor.

Each underlay has a low tog rating and small perforated holes throughout the underlay so the heat is dispersed evenly over the floor space. We have options with higher impact sound resistance should you require your environment to be a little quieter.

Standard Underlays& Fibre Boards

Official Distributors of

UNDERLAY To be used to create whats known as a floating system. Cut to size and lay directly onto any subfloor, tongue and groove planks are then laid on top, glued along the full length and width then pushed together. Our uniclic floors require no glue and are simply clicked into position.

FIBRE BOARDSSimilar to underlay in terms of use. Cut to size with a knife and place into position. These will also help to remove undulations in the sub floor allowing for a more level floor for you to install the planks onto.

WPVA GLUEPrimarily used for gluing the joins of bamboo planks together when floating flooring over underlay.

GUN ADHESIVEA high grab adhesive used for adhering skirting, door trims etc.

SIKA LAYER ACCUBOND SYSTEMDesigned to combine both the sound deadening of an underlay system along with the strength of a bonded installation. Flexible adhesive is applied via a bulk gun in the form of sausage shaped cartridges into pre cut slots found in the underlay. The flooring is then laid straight on top to complete the installation.

BONA GAPMASTER FILLERSSilicone free floor gap filling mastics designed to fill gaps around skirting and door thresholds. These are solvent free and odourless products that also retain a high degree of flexibility.
