In the US..

• 1 in 3 teenagers has at one time been involved in an abusive dating relationship

• At least one woman is battered every 9 seconds

• 6 out of 10 married couples have experienced violence at some time in their marriage

However…..

• Only 3% of students will tell an authority figure of their victimization

• 6% of students will tell a family member if they are victims

• But 67% will tell a peer

Our Purpose…

The Be Project teaches participants ways to stop the cycle of violence through healthy relationship education and leadership training. Students learn

how to maintain healthy relationships in every aspect of their lives, as well as how to help others

do the same.

- Prevention of dating and domestic violence

- Promotion of leadership skills and peer mediation

- Assertiveness training and positive communication skills
