Dear Barry Tech Families,

During the week of June 1st, you will have the opportunity to come to the building to

retrieve personal belongings that were left behind due to the sudden closure of the

building in March. Due to the number of students who attend Barry Tech and need to

pick up items, you will need to review and follow the attached schedule so that we can

quickly and safely distribute personal property. If you arrive on a day when your

teacher is not scheduled to distribute items, we will not be able to help you at that time.

Please keep in mind the following in order to help us return items to you safely and

efficiently:

Staff members will gather student property and place it in clear, labeled bags for

distribution in advance of your arrival.

All cars should enter the Barry Tech campus through the second entrance on Cantiague

Lane. (See accompanying map)

o All students and family members will need to ensure that they are wearing

masks as they enter the campus.

o Be prepared to show your school photo ID or your driver’s license so we can

properly identify you and distribute personal belongings appropriately.

Signs and staff members will direct you toward the appropriate section of the building

for your CTE program. You will be directed to drive your car near the exterior door to

your teacher’s classroom if that classroom has an exterior door. If not, you will be

directed toward an exit door near that classroom.

All must remain in vehicle. Once you have been positively identified, a staff member

will retrieve your items for you and bring them outside. (You may open your trunk at

this time so the items may be placed there.) Once the staff member has stepped away,

you may retrieve the items if your trunk was not opened.

If you need to pick up medication that is stored in the Nurse’s Office, follow the

signs/directions to the designated pickup location. (See accompanying map)

Please report according to the teacher schedule accompanying this letter.
