KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS #12703

BABY BOTTLE (BIRDHOUSE) CAMPAIGN During the Coronavirus quarantine, Barry Nelson has

been making birdhouses to sell in support of the Knights

of Columbus Council #12703 Baby Bottle Campaign.

The proceeds of this campaign support the purchase of

ultrasound machines at Pro-Life Centers in the Pittsburgh Diocese

which give expectant moms contemplating abortion the opportunity

to choose life instead. The Campaign also contributes to the local

Catholic Charities Parenting Pregnancy program to help new moms.

The birdhouses are made from the wood of church pews from

Our Lady of Consolation Church in Nemacolin as they were

trimmed to fit for use in St. Ann Church.

• Anyone may purchase one of these birdhouses for a donation

of $30 (more if you wish, your donation is tax deductible).

• Cash or checks accepted. Checks should be made payable to the

Knights of Columbus #12703.

• Please call Barry at 724-852-2529 to schedule a time to pick

out your own birdhouse. Currently 15 houses are available,

some are designed to hang and some to mount on a post.

MASS INTENTIONS

THE MONTH OF THE PRECIOUS BLOOD July is dedicated to the Precious Blood ~ Devotion to the Precious Blood of Jesus unites us

to the mystery of faith in His sacrificial love on Calvary which purifies our hearts of sin and

prepares us for eternal life.

Prayer to the Precious Blood

O Precious Blood of Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I ardently desire to consecrate

myself and all the days of my life to Your love and worship. I place myself and my loved ones,

in a special manner, under Your powerful protection. Begging that Your benediction may ever rest

upon us. O Most Precious Blood, be our light in darkness, our strength in temptation, our consolation

in sorrow, our passport to heaven, and the eternal object of our praise and love. Amen.

FAITH LIFE

Resuming Mass during the Pandemic at all St. Matthias Worship Sites

The St Matthias Parish Masses are now open to the public according to the Mass Schedule on page 3 of this bulletin.

Using all the precautions that have been laid out by the diocese and the state people must:

- wear masks,

- use hand sanitizer on entering and exiting the church,

- keep social distancing (which will force us to only about 1/3 capacity of our churches, by closing every other pew),

- during the whole liturgy people will be asked to stay in their pews with little interaction with others, until communion is

distributed after the final blessing,

- then people are to leave the church immediately, not congregating or socializing after Mass.

- Between each Mass we are asked to wipe down the pews and other areas of the church that are normal areas of

touch.

No Eucharistic ministers or readers will be used at this time. We are trying to do all we can for the safety of our parish-

ioners and yet maintain a faithful respect for the Eucharist and the people.

During this time there is no obligation for you to come to Mass! If you are sick or your health is compromised in any way

you should stay home please, for your health and that of the community of faith. We are committed to keeping within the

guidelines laid out by the diocese and hope that those who can will join us for Mass. If a church were to fill up, we will not let

more enter the church than is safe according to the guidelines. Please bear with us during these unusual circumstances.
