Important companies such as Native Instru- ments or Init AG are located on the Kreuzberger Spree side and have demonstrated the location’s appeal. Many small and medium-sized enter- prises from the creative industries and the startup scene, in particular from ICT, have found their homes here. FACILITIES The Kreuzberg side of the Spree River is characterized by buildings from the industrial expansion more than a 100 years ago, with cour- tyards and green spaces. These vast, old commercial structures, the oldest of which were built around 1900, are historically grounded in the city and popular for their flair. Careful renova- tion has secured the historic structu- res in the district. ACCESSIBILITY Multiple metro-bus and subway lines connect the area near the Spree River to Berlin’s transport system. Subways connect Kreuzberg with Charlottenburg and Wilmersdorf. Internationally, Europacity is connec- ted to Tegel and Schönefeld airports, and the future Airport BER.
