The atmosphere is made oh many gases. It contains water in three form:A gas, called vapor, ice crystals and droplets.

OTHER GASES: Argon, neon kypton and xenon, and harmful chemical like nitrogen dioxide.

The atmosphere pushes down on Earth with a force called air pressure or atmospheric pressure.

THERE ARE FIVE LAYERS IN THE ATMOSPHERE.

1. THE TROPOSPHERE IS WHERE WEATHER OCCURS.

2. MANY AIRPLANES FLY IN THE STRATOSPHERE BECAUSE IT IS VERY STABLE.

3. MANY ROCKS FRAGMENT FROM SPACE BURN UP IN THE MESOSPHERE.

4. THE THERMOSPHERE IS VERY THIN.

5. THE UPPER LIMIT OF OUR ATNOSPHERE IS THE EXOSPHERE.

Whather is the state of atmosfhere at a given time and place. Most weathern takes places in the troposphere.

*1.Air temperature and pressure

*2.The amount and type of precipitation

*3.The strength and directionof wind

*4.The types of clouds.

The ozone is a gas a layer in the stratosphere.

This layer absorbs high-energy UV (ultraviolet light) rays from the sun, protecring us from them.

The aurora is formed when particles from the Sun enter the Earth’s atmosphere.

The greenhouse effect is the trapping of heat around Earth.

A tiny number of gases in the atmosphere can trap heat around the Earth. This gases keep the Earth warm.

The traced gases 1% regulate the climate.

These are the gases:

Water vapour.

The greenhouse gases:

Carbon dioxide.

Methane

Nitrous oxide

Ozone

Halocarbons CFCs

Not all the heat we feel on Eath comes from the Sun. Most of this heat comec from Eath itself, whitch is tappet and sent back down by greenhouse gases.

Page 10: The Atmosphere. Save the Earth.

As Earth warms up, it gives heat as low-energy infrared rays.

Only a few pass through the greenhouse gases.

Page 11: The Atmosphere. Save the Earth.

The greenhouse gases trap most of infrared rays. This heats the atmosphere and heats the Earth.

We pollute the air. We fill the lend

with waste. Lethal fuel

emission for our vehicles .

Our glaciers are melting. Our lakes are drying .Reinfall is increacing.

1. Recycle and Reuse. 2. Consider alternative energy

methods. 3.Save power and conserve household

energy.

Is when the greenhouse effect gets stonger, the Earth’s average temerature rises. The conditions on Earth start to change.

Most governments are worried about rising greenhouse gas levels in the atmosphere, and defect they may have.

In 1997, representatives from 160 countris met in kyoto, Japan to create the kyoto protocol.

1. The Sun’s energy is turned into power by the solar panels.

2.Natural heat from beneath Earth’s surface is the geothermal energy.

3. Hydroelectric power stations, flowing water from a dam, generate power.

4. Wind farms and wave power use the motion oh the sea or air to move the huge turbines.
