INTENDED AUDIENCEThe Annual Assembly of Hospice and Palliative Care is designed for physicians, nurses, advanced practice nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants, social workers, and chaplains interested in acquiring, maintaining, or expanding the skills needed to function effectively in the field of hospice and palliative care.

PURPOSEThe Annual Assembly of Hospice and Palliative Care leverages the expertise of both AAHPM and HPNA to advance the field, educate their members and other healthcare professionals, and improve quality of life for those affected by serious illness by sharing the best available evidence.

SESSION DESCRIP tIONSPlenary sessions bring all attendees together for a shared learning experience designed to stimulate new thinking and conversation.Workshops are half- or full-day preconference sessions that typically require an additional registration fee.Concurrent sessions are 1-hour presentations of select abstracts.Paper sessions include four 15-minute presentations of scientific research and quality improvement projects from select abstracts.Case sessions include four 15-minute case-based presentations from select abstracts.Educational forums are 1-hour sessions by faculty invited by AAHPM or HPNA to present on a critical topic area.Early-riser sessions are concurrent sessions offered early in the morning.Poster sessions are two 1-hour visual presentations of scientific research, quality improvement projects, and case-based and scholars work-in-progress content. Fun Run and WalkOn Friday, March 20, at 6 am, join the 5K Fun Run and Walk benefiting the AAHPM Pediatric Scholarship Fund and HPNF’s charitable efforts. Program Changes and CancellationsWe reserve the right to substitute faculty, cancel, or reschedule sessions due to unforeseen circumstances. PHYSICIAN MAINTENANCE OF CERTIFICATION (MOC) POINTS American Board of Internal MedicineSuccessful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 28.25 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

American Board of PediatricsSuccessful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the activity and individual assessment of and feedback to the learner,

Successful completion of continuing nursing education (CNE) conference offerings, which include (1) attestation to attendance and (2) participation in the evaluation component, enables the RN participant to earn up to 28.25 CNE hour award (60 minutes per CNE award hour). CNE award is valid through December 31, 2020.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be made in writing. A $95 processing charge will apply to all cancellations. No refunds will be made on cancellations postmarked after February 20, 2020.
