GNITS is using a Software Called E-Cap, which is a ready reckoner for the details of all the students &

staff.

This software is linked to the Bio Metric attendance system in the College from where daily & monthly

attendance of the staff members be generated for disbursement of salaries of the staff.

Staff can view their daily attendance i.e. in time & out time, leave balances in the software.

Staff can apply their leaves online, which in turn be approved by respective HODs online. Due to

administrative convenience, only CLs & ELs up to 3 consecutive days can apply online.

Other leaves such as Academic Leave, Half-Pay Leaves, Vacation and CLs/ELs more than 3 days need to

be applied in the form of leave application, which is to be forwarded through HOD to the Principal. After

approval of the Principal, the leaves will be recorded in the admin office duly verified by Admin.Officer

online.

Faculty can post the daily attendance of the students online, which in turn be useful for generation of

weekly/monthly cumulative attendance reports.

Option of adjustment of faculty for a particular period is also available in case the faculty is on leave or

adjust the period to another faculty for any reason. Posting of the attendance is displayed in the log-in of the

adjusted faculty also.

At the time of admissions, students need to enter their details in the software and the same details are used

as student database for issue of Library Books, Sending SMS of their progress such as daily attendance,

internal marks etc.. to their parents.

A student can be detained or promoted in the software.

Messages to the parents about the progress of the students such as attendance, internal marks etc. are sent

through this software. Messages can be sent to Alumni also.

In future, through the student‟s database, TC & Bonafide Certificates will be issued online. Similarly,

access will be given to the students to view their progress online through this software from their log-ins in

the future.

GNITS Library is fully automated and operating by using e-CAP: an integrated Library automation

software. Library created its resources Database and provided Online Public Access Catalogue

(OPAC) through which users can be accessed to know the availability and the status of the book with

in the campus through LAN . Institute Library is subscribing online e-books and e-journals databases as

per the requirement of the institute and also AICTE. Provided IP based access and these journals can be

accessed from any computer connected in the campus LAN.

This facility enables the staff and students to access e-learning resources such as NPTEL Lectures.

For the effective utilization of library resources, Information Literacy training programs are arranged

during orientation , for the students and staff based on the assessment level of skill. Depending on the

need every year 1-2 programs / workshops will be arranged for the users.

There is a famous quote that states "Failing to plan is planning to fail"- having a plan is essential in order

to progress in any aspect of your life, but especially important when the aspect concerned is your career.

As individuals, we all aspire to be powerful assets with exceptional academic qualifications and skill

sets that could be asset to any employer. In order to have a career plan prepared and ready for successful

execution, you must first be able to identify your goals and interests so that you can ensure their

alignment with your future jobs, career paths, and professional passions.

The career guidance cell aims to provide assistance and advice to students to make them aware about

their future educational career choice. It aims at providing individual focus for students with different

line of interest after their under graduation.

The Career Guidance Cell has been catering to the needs of students with the following objectives:

The college ensures efficient student progression through timely intervention and counselling

through Counselors and Placement Officer at various levels.

The mentoring system exists in the college also ensures retention and progression of students into

research careers.
