This me too we spent an informal and pleasant me with the owners, manag- ers, department heads, colleagues and a few special guests in a relaxed atmosphere at the Palm Gardens in the Park Hya Dubai. Green is such a soothing colour; it was in full aend- ance all around the garden, providing a fing backdrop to the proceedings of the evening. The traditional Annual DAHBASHI Dinner is always one of the most await-ed events by every member of the DE family. It not only provides a wonder-ful opportunity for the old-timers to take
off from where they left the last time but also to meet the new entrants in the family from various departments and branches.
This time too we spent an informal and pleasant time with the owners, manag-ers, department heads, colleagues and a few special guests in a relaxed atmosphere at the Palm Gardens in the Park Hyatt Dubai. Green is such a soothing colour; it was in full attend-ance all around the garden, providing a fitting backdrop to the proceedings of the evening.

Mr. Ahmed started the proceedings with a short but enthusiastic speech during which he shared the Group’s achievements in the year 2014, enumerated the goals for 2015 along with the challenges that lay ahead. He pointed out that the move to the new facility in Dubai Industrial City during the 1st. quarter of 2015 would not be bereft of its own challenges that would require a fair amount of adjustment on everyone’s part, demanding greater understanding and co-operation between people, departments, branches and head office operations. He briefly touched on the opening of the Jeddah Branch in early 2015 as well.

As is customary over the past few years, we again used the annual dinner as a fitting occasion to give away the company’s in-house Cricket and Table Tennis Tournament trophies, cups and prize money. At last the moment everyone was waiting for with bated breath arrived……it was time for the sports presentations !

The prizes were given away by Mr. Dahbashi, ably supported by Mr. Ahmed. Heartiest congratulations to all the winners, runners-up and indi-vidual prize winners; there were some scintillating performances on offer during the course of the tournaments. With the completion of the awards ceremony, everyone got down to the serious task of devouring delectable delicacies ! There was a huge variety on offer, each dish cooked with loving care and tastefully presented. Kudos to the chef and another feather in Ms. Farida Ahmed’s cap for selecting the venue and carefully going over the details with the hotel to ensure that the evening was nothing but a resounding success.

UAE DIGY MATHEW has been promoted as the GROUP FINANCE MANAGER.
MANU SHARMA has taken over as ASSISTANT MANAGER, Human Resources. MOHAMMED IBRAHIM becomes a BRANCH SALES REPRESENTATIVE (Abu Dhabi). ANTONETTE CABUS PESINO has been promoted to the post of ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, Human Resources.
SAUDI ARABIA RIYADH SHAIKH moves to JEDDAH to take over the new branch as BRANCH MANAGER with the additional responsibility of managing the KHAMIS MUSHAIT Branch. ANIL KUDAV rises to the position of BRANCH MANAGER (Dammam). He will also be responsible for the AL AHSA Branch. HAJA MAIDEEN has been promoted as JV SUPERVISOR for the DAMMAM Branch.
