“Contestants  please  be  ready,  the  contest  will  start  in  five  minutes,”  said  the  judge.

got  home.  This  is  going  to  

be  easy  

I  got  hundred  percent  again!  I’m  definitely  going  to  win  

The  contest  began  and  the  judge  started  reading  the  quesCons.  

Welcome  to  the  75th  Annual  Brain  Contest.  We  have  3  contestants  

today    -­‐Miss  Brainy,  Lemon,  and  Marshmallow.    

Now,  let’s  get  started.  QuesCon  1,  What  does  IDK  

stand  for?  

InternaConal  destroying  kangaroos?  

Important  democraCc  

kale?  

Wrong!  

Ms.  Brainy  and  Lemon  tried  to  guess  but  they  couldn’t  guess  it.  

I  Don’t  Know  

Correct!  IDK  stands  for  I  Don’t  Know  

Surprisingly,  Marshmallow  got  it  right  by  not  knowing  anything.  

Ugh,  I  can’t  believe  that  

dumb  Marshmallow  got  it  right.  

Both  Lemon  and  Ms.  Brainy  were  disappointed.    

I  lost  against  a  snack!  How  boring!

Again,  Ms.  Brainy  and  Lemon  got  it  wrong.

Wow,  Marshmallow  got  it  right  again  even  though  he  doesn’t  know  anything!  

Ugh,  Marshmallow  got  it  right  again!  

Hey  Brainy,  let’s  say  I  don’t  know  on  the  

next  quesCon.  

Okay,  but  let’s  get  it  straight,  my  name  isn’t  “Brainy”  it’s  MISS  Brainy.  

Ms.  Brainy  and  Lemon  thought  of  a  plan  for  the  next  quesCon.     Score  Board

Now  to  the  final  quesCon.  QuesCon  3,  what  does  “Het  kan  me  niet  schelen”  mean  in  English.  (hint:  this  is  

Dutch)  

I  don’t  know!   Wrong!  

Sadly,  Lemon  and  Ms.  Brainy’s  plan  didn’t  work.  

I  don’t  care  Correct!  

Way  to  go  Marshmallow!    

Nooooo!  

If  my  ancestors’  were  alive,  they  would  scold  me.  They  have  been  

winning  EVERY  contest.  

Lemon  and  Ms.  Brainy  were  surprised  because  the  “nothing  knowing”  Marshmallow  won  the  contest.

Looks  like  Marshmallow  needs  to  say  something.
