Draw a C in the air with your arm while saying “capital letter”

Punch your right fist into your left open hand while saying “peri-” and then punch out into the air in front of you to say “-od”

3: Quotation marks / 66 and99

Bend your index and ring fingers of both hands back and forth while saying “quotation marks” or “66 and 99” for younger grades

4. Question mark

Like the C for ‘capital letter’; draw the top part of the ? In the air while saying “question” and punctuate a period as described while saying “mark”

! Create a fist and pull your arm straight down; creating a line in the air while saying “exclamation”and punctuate a period as described while saying “mark”
