The pandemic drastically changed the Teaching-Learning process, switching over to online platforms from the traditional physical

class room method. This sudden transition to the online teaching made it difficult for some students to attend classes due to financial

difficulties to afford a smart phone. As a part of social commitment the Faculty, along with the involvement of students of the

Department distributed two smart phones to two BSc final year Chemistry students, enabling them to join the online classes

regularly. The generous efforts by the students and faculty are highly appreciable.

St. Albert's College (Autonomous) has decided to launch Kutti Vanam or Micro Forests, a project which aims at identifying 75 spots of one cent each in and around the district capable of turning into micro forests, or smaller representations of forests. These spaces would be filled with various combinations of trees and saplings, acting as lungs and protected habitats, increasing environment quality and social responsibility of the people.

St. Albert's College Green Coordinators and Social Outreach Coordinators are organizing the Nakshatra Nagaram Project in the Ernakulam District. The Nakshatra Nagaram project aims at bringing the young generation back into the folds of nature. My Tree Challenge

The college, in association with the Army, Navy and Air wings of NCC, has launched My Tree Challenge, where students must plant a new sapling in their household, take a selfie with their tree, a symbol of growth and conservation and share it. carriers of the deadly virus. The kitchen gardens were filled with

tomatoes, long peas, drumsticks, bitter gourds, ash gourds, chillies,

pumpkins, elephant yams, brinjals, Chinese potatoes, curry leaves,
