2010 Ocala Business Leader President Wayne Hunter started

things off welcoming everyone to the first breakfast meeting of the

new year.

It was reported that members exchanged and introduced each others

businesses at the meeting.

Rumor has it that Art Meadows Jewelry was having a two for one sale.

I don’t think that will happen.

A Pre Paid Legal "Army" descended on the Elk's club today -- not to

shoot the Elk -- but to fight for life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and equal justice

for all.

Dick Kelly led off with reasons to become an associate with Pre

Paid Legal. Dick himself makes over $100,000 a year, and has

earned well over $1,000,000.00 with Pre Paid Legal. Earnings

are paid daily, and are paid for direct sales and also are paid on

residual sales. Also, when an associate recruits other associates:

then override earnings are paid on the direct sales and residual

sales of downline associates. This program can lead to remark-

able residual incomes for everyone on the team.

Bud Koehlinger highlighted the Small Business Plan. The Small

Business Plan looks after the legal interests of each com-

pany. Also, the Small Business Plan provides assistance so the

small business can stay in business. Big businesses can afford to

keep a staff of attorneys on retainer and pay for consultants for

all aspects of theirf business. Now this opportunity is available to every small business

for only $2.50 a day.

Les Singleton fielded questions, and did a drawing. The lucky winner was John McCann,

who won a big cinnamon scented party candle that Les had picked up from a PartyTime

rep, Elaine Peltcs.

What is it? Pre Paid Legal is to attorney fees as major medical is to doctor and hospital

bills. In other words, many of the legal services a person needs most -- are taken care of

through Pre Paid Legal.

Pre Paid Legal Identity theft monitors the identity of each member. Also, when an iden-

tity is compromised (not "if" but "when" -- it's going to happen) Kroll Investigative Ser-

vices, as well as Pre Paid Legal, puts Humpty Dumpty back on the wall again. The mem-

ber is restored to the position he/she was before the theft, in only 30 to 60 days, in-

stead of the months or years it would take to do the work themselves, at a savings of

hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars. (cont. Pg. 3 )

Pre Paid Legal "Army" (Cont from Pg. 1 ) How long have you been associates of Pre Paid Legal?

Dick Kelly - 14 years; Bud and Liz Koehlinger - 12 years; Les Singleton - has had the legal plan over three years, and has been an associ-

ate 18 months.

Who started Pre Paid Legal, When and Where?

Harland Stonecipher started Pre Paid Legal in 1972 in Oklahoma. The company started by accident: 3 years earlier, Harland Stoneci-

pher, and insurance agent was in an auto accident. His auto insurance took care of the car, and medical insurance took care of his hos-

pital. Should he have died, his wife was protected with life insurance. The other driver was ticketed -- yet several months later, she

brought a law suit, and he had to pay thousands to defend himself. He thought: auto insurance, medical insurance, life insurance -- why

not legal insurance? Legal insurance is actually quite common in Europe and in some countries. So, in 1972 Pre Paid Legal began!

How many members are protected? More than one and one-half million families, and many thousands of small businesses.

Ask the Sales Expert Q&A—Paula Martin

Q: What is the best way to use a referral if the referring person doesn't want to write or

call the prospect?

A: If you have been in contact with your prospect and they are supplying you with additional people

to connect with, then you are already there.

You can make the call to these additional people and reference your main contact. You can make a

simple statement like: "I was talking with Bob over at Acme Printing about his networking environ-

ment, and he said that you were experiencing some capacity challenges with your current network

after adding a few extra people. He suggested I give you a call. Do you have time for a few questions?"

This situation can occur anytime during the sales process, even at first contact. If you cold call some-

one and they decide that your services are not a fit for them, it's a simple process to ask them whom

they know that can benefit from what you have to offer. Then, when you call these second-level con-

tacts, simply reference your primary contact and the discussion you had with them.

This works only if these second level contacts have a decent relationship and a certain level of respect

for your primary contact. If that respect isn't there, then you have been set up for a fall.

Typically when someone is willing to write a letter or make a call, then you are dealing with a testimo-

nial or a reference. These typically come after you have provided your product or service and your

client was pleased with the results.

Now it's always nice to get them to write out a testimonial. However, there will be times when they

will be too busy to put something in writing. Other times, they may not quite know what to say. In

these situations, provide them with another option. Tell them that you know the benefits that they

have received from using your products or service and that you can write up the testimonial. Then you

can present it to them for their approval, get them to endorse it and you are off to the races.

Remember that you can get referrals anytime during the sales process. All you have to do is ask your

prospect for the referral and their permission to reference them when you make your calls. Testimoni-

als, however, require more trust and more effort on your client's part. You will not get those until you

have proved yourself and your product. Source: www.manta.com

A friend, my son, and I went

into a fast food place for

lunch the other day. As we

were standing in line, he was

getting antsy and being a little

difficult. I turned to him and

asked if he wanted a knuckle

sandwich. He promptly re-

plied "No, I want a cheese-

burger!"

Everyone in line burst out

laughing.

Tracy

I had dressed my son in his

church clothes for school

pictures one day. As I was

getting ready to leave, I no-

ticed he had changed into his

play clothes. I asked him why

he had changed clothes, and

he responded, "Mom, I'm not

going to church!"

Selena

I was having a disagreement

with my husband and Mica

said, "Mommy behave."

Michelle Gary-Hunt

Amberly walked in on her

dad going to the bathroom

and casually said to him,

"Don't forget to shake your

tail when you're done, dad!"
