Adventure comes in all sorts of fl avours. It might be expanding your

horizons, or expanding your family. So when it came to designing

the Altea, we had to address some important questions. Like, can

responsible be exciting? And can sensible really be adventurous?

And the answer is… yes.

THE ADVENTURE STARTS HEREThe Altea is spacious enough for growing families, with more than

30 different storage compartments and a streamlined interior that

houses some smart technology, like an optional SEAT Media

System 2.2, with touch screen, DAB radio, CUP port, Navigator

and Bluetooth® with controls in steering wheel. Or a Rear-Parking

Sensor that helps to avoid scrapes and Climatronic, which helps

to keep everyone on-board happy.

So whatever your plans, your next adventure starts here.

THINK BIGThen think XL

Families grow. Children grow. The amount of stuff we need

seems to grow non-stop, so that even simple journeys become

epic endeavours. And when big isn’t big enough, you need XL.

The Altea XL really is XL. It’s tall, with masses of headroom and

a higher, more commanding driving position. It’s long. 18.76 cm

longer than the standard Altea to be precise. Which translates into

an extra 123 litres of space, and a total boot capacity of 532 litres.

Which is, well, huge. In fact it’s one of the roomiest cars in its class.

Although you wouldn’t think it from the outside.

With its swooping sporty lines, the look is unmistakably SEAT,

as is the handling. It’s well balanced and assured, which makes

the Altea XL a genuine pleasure to drive. Now every school run,

shopping trip or family visit is another chance to get behind the

wheel. Being the family chauffeur has never been so much fun.

Pioneering comfort and connectivity

I-TECH, featured in the SEAT Altea, boasts comfort and tech savvy

in one smooth ride. Discover a range of optional features including

a rooftop TFT LCD screen—perfect for entertaining or getting some

much needed quiet time—plus, headlight wash wipers, front and

rear parking sensor, electric and heated exterior mirrors and a

built-in Bluetooth® compatible with touch-screen Media System.

and I-TECH has everything you need for your most enjoyable ride.

HEADLIGHT WASHER WIPERS.The headlight washer wipers mean the rest of your Altea can stay dirty,

and you’ll still be safe for the drive home.

STORAGE COMPARTMENT IN ROOF + TFT.Integrated TFT screen turns the Altea into your very own cinema. Includes overhead

compartment for convenient storage.

SEAT MEDIA SYSTEM 2.2 TOUCH SCREEN WITH BLUETOOTH®*.Keep all lines of communication open with DAB radio, Navigator and Bluetooth®, plus SD

card slot and media player connectivity. All controlled via a 5.0" colour touch screen.* Not available for East Europe.

START/STOP SYSTEM.This system allows you to save fuel and cut down on CO2 emissions. Start/Stop System activates when you are in a neutral gear position. The engine turns off completely and remains stopped until you put the foot on the clutch.To be on the move again, you only need to step on the clutch, shift into fi rst gear and the engine will start automatically.

They’re a powerful bunch, the Altea engines. And with good reason.

They’re designed to be capable and reliable, whatever your plans.

There are two top of the range petrol engines available for Altea

and Altea XL. The fi rst is the 1.2 TSI 105 HP Start/Stop that has

reduced CO2 emissions to 132 g/km. The other is the 1.4 TSI 125 HP,

which is now the most powerful petrol engine in the range with

a maximum speed of 194 km/h.

There’s also a versatile range of common rail diesel engines. Like

the Altea XL’s muscular 2.0 TDI with 140 HP, one of several diesel

options with Diesel Particle Filter. The lowest CO2 emissions comes

with the 1.6 TDI CR 105 HP Ecomotive with just 119 g/km.

Exclusively to the Altea XL is the diesel engine 2.0 TDI CR 140 HP,

which offers impressive four-wheel drive.

And with it, great responsibilityGREAT POWER HEROES

OF THE ROADLet’s hear it for safety features!

AFS. ABS. TCS. ESC. EBA. No longer should these amazing, life-

enhancing technologies be known only by anonymous acronyms.

It’s time they got the recognition they deserve.

After all, it’s thanks to them – along with the standard six airbags

and iSOFiX fi ttings for child safety seats – that the Altea earned

the maximum fi ve-star Euro NCAP* safety rating. So say hello to

AFS, the Adaptive Front-Lighting System, Bi-Xenon headlights that

increase cornering visibility by swivelling to follow the direction

of the steering wheel, available as an optional safety feature for the

I-TECH version. Clever stuff. And what about ABS and TCS? Or to

give them their full names, Anti-lock Braking and Traction Control

Systems, working together to ensure maximum control and minimal

wheel spin. Both are standard features in all versions of the Altea.

And who could forget our good friends ESC and EBA, available as

options for the I-TECH version. Electronic Stability Control and

Emergency Brake Assist deliver assured handling, and extra

reassurance when braking.

AIRBAGS.For safety without compromise the Altea has two front, two side and two curtain airbags, a total of six as standard. Plus there’s front passenger airbag deactivation, and the option of rear side airbags.

HILL HOLD CONTROL.The Altea is designed to expect the unexpected. Hill Hold Control stops your car rolling back during hill starts by applying a two second delay in releasing the brakes.
