Firstly, universities may not be aware of studies which showclearly that effective mobility experiences developorganisational skills, project management, problem solving,networking, teamwork and mediation skills, among others.These, of course, sit alongside interpersonal andintercultural communication skills, which are traditionallythought of as being the main outcomes of internationali-sation. Secondly, as a result of this lack of awareness,universities may fail to communicate these benefits eitherto students or their potential employers.
