• Start small

• Build your facility and the money will follow later.

• Learn from your mistakes and move on.

• Focus on waste minimization rather than profits.

• Decentralization is more resilient.

• Look at other players as partners rather than competitors.

• Focus on a hub and spoke model rather than just growth.

• Respect your staff.

Collection staff have the right to refuse mixed waste at doorstep.Staff must be treated with respect.Staff must be paid fair wagesMen & Women must be paid equally.Staff must understand what they do, and why they do it.
