What is my philosophy for teaching?

• Every student can learn if they are shown how to ask questions and how to respect each other’s responses.

• As their teacher, I want my students to succeed both in the classroom and in life. This is part of my humanistic approach to teaching:• I strive to remain very calm, patient, and

understanding and I want to form a level of communication with my students that is built upon respect.

What is my philosophy for teaching?

• I believe in giving out more positive feedback and reinforcement than negative within my classroom in an effort to keep a calm and productive energy in the room. (This is my behavioral approach to teaching)

• Rules are in place to allow students to feel like they a respected and valued member of a learning community. For this reason, I have very clear expectations for student interactions and they will be consistently enforced.
