Exodus 18:13-18 The next day Moses sat to judge the people, and the
people stood around Moses from morning till evening. When Moses' father-in-law saw all that he was doing for the people, he said, "What is this that you are doing for
the people? Why do you sit alone, and all the people stand around you from morning till evening?" And Moses said to
his father-in-law, "Because the people come to me to inquire of God; when they have a dispute, they come to me and I decide between one person and another, and I
make them know the statutes of God and his laws." Moses' father-in-law said to him, "What you are doing is not good. You and the people with you will certainly wear yourselves out, for the thing is too heavy for you. You are
not able to do it alone. (ESV)
Exodus 18:19-23 Now obey my voice; I will give you advice, and God be with you! You sha! represent the people before God and bring
their cases to God, and you shall warn them about the statutes and the laws, and make them know the way in
which they must walk and what they must do. Moreover, look for able men "om a! the people, men who fear God, who are trustworthy and hate a bribe, and place such men
over the people as chiefs of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens. And let them judge the people at all
times. Every great matter they shall bring to you, but any small matter they shall decide themselves. So it will be easier
for you, and they will bear the burden with you. If you do this, God will direct you, you will be able to endure, and all
this people also will go to their place in peace." (ESV)

Loving God completely requires a healthy emotional Life.
Mark 12:28-31 And one of the scribes came up and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that he
answered them well, asked him, "Which commandment is the most important of all?" Jesus answered, "The most important is, "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God #ith a! your heart and with a! your soul and with a! your mind and with a! your strength." The second is this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." There is no other commandment greater than these." (ESV)
I choose to own my emotions
What do I really feel?
Psalms 139:23, 24 Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and
know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way
everlasting! (ESV)
I choose honesty with the father
Am I growing more in love with Jesus?
John 11:32-35 Now when Mary came to where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet, saying to him, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died." When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in his spirit and greatly troubled. And he
said, "Where have you laid him?" They said to him, "Lord, come and see." Jesus wept. (ESV)

What practical steps can I take to increase my joy?
Philippians 4:6-8 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every
situatio$, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And
the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your
minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is
right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is exce!ent or
praiseworthy—think about such things. (NIV)

John 10:27-30 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and
they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me,
is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father
are one." (ESV)
Our spiritual freedom is a product of mirroring Jesus' relationship of oneness
with the Father

Matthew 6:31-33
So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the
pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his
kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (NIV)
To paint an inspiring picture of the future for all around us to see we must
be connected.

To bring wisdom and relevant truth to any situation we must be connected.

Matthew 6:5, 6 "And when you pray, you must not be like the
hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may
be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your
Father who is in secre&. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. (ESV)
To bring true blessing into our lives must be connected.

Lord, who chose me rather than your father or anyone "om his hous' when he appointed me ruler over the Lord ’s people Israel—I will celebrate before the Lord. I will become
even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you spoke of, I will be held in
honor.” (NIV)
To release ourselves from the expectations of others we must be connected.

hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored. (NIV)
To keep our hearts soft before The Lord we must be connected.
