Washer Toss Tournamenty

Forty-two people signed up forming twenty-one teams to come out and brave the cold weather and apply their skill in tossing that washer into the elu-sive hole in that board that is 6 Ft away. We found a sunny location where spectators and players could soak up the sunshine.

A double elimination tournament was held with each team being able to play two games. The even-tual winner having to beat the final team from the losers bracket one time or the winner of the losers bracket having to beat the winner of the of the win-ners bracket two times. Confused, well come out and join us for some fun and root your team on.

Phil Johnson and Peggy Zabel were victorious in winning the winners bracket and had to beat Byron Shaner and Linda Palmer one time to win the tour-nament. However the skill shown by Byron and Linda was to much for Phil and Peggy as they lost to Byron and Linda in the play-off.

Congratulations to Byron and Linda for a tour-nament well played.

20th Anniversary Meeting Of The Death Valley DesperadosBob and I arrived on the 22nd and had rain all the way until we hit Death Valley Junction and had sunshine

all the way in to Sunset Campground. We got .25 inches of rain the night of the 23rd and that was nice for it help wash the mud off our motorhome.

A few started arriving on Christmas day but the majority of all the attendees arrived on the 26th and 27th. Those attending were Bob and Frances Smith, Bob and Linda Wilson, John and Priscilla Beckman, Hank and Kathy Smoka, Steve Tivy, Don and Rosemary Webb, Vern and Charlene Tutterrow, Dave Hurley and “Angel”, Don and Millie Reiner, Carl and Jean Orr, and Dave and Christine Nordstrom with Dave’s daughter, Randy and her husband Josh.

With all our fire pots and heaters we kept warm during the day and evenings. Of course a few went out exploring and the rest of us kept busy solving the world’s problems and playing washer toss.

A few of us discovered the 19th Hole and had huge hamburgers for lunch.Believe it or not, Bob Smith caught large mouthed bass in a pond there on the Ranch. Of course, it is catch

and release but that is what he always does.We had our chorizo and eggs with Mimosa’s on the morning of the 31st since a small group of people were

going to the Inn for the buffet.We brought in the New Year at 7 PM with champagne. It seems we don’t stay out as long as we did 20 years

ago, but that may have something to do with age. What do you think?All in all, we had a great time – to bad you weren’t there.
