The Holiday Parade is a Boise tradition and a source of pride for our community. This is its 70th year! Bring the family to this year’s parade to celebrate “Christmas is Our Town” with Grand Marshal Dave Bieter, Mayor of Boise.

Cranksgiving is a Thanksgiving-
themed scavenger hunt on bicycles
for a cause. On Saturday, November
17th teams will use their own and
Boise GreenBikes to gather a list
of items to fill Thanksgiving food
boxes distribution to families in need
throughout the Treasure Valley. Last
year the event provided Thanksgiving
food boxes for 36 families.

The Tree Lighting is a Downtown Boise Tradition! Boise Mayor
Bieter lights up the Christmas tree in The Grove Plaza in
Downtown Boise, while families in attendance sing carols
and join in the candle lighting ceremony. The community
is invited to attend this traditional event that lights up
downtown and welcomes the holiday season to the Treasure
Valley. Enjoy a live performance from Red Light Challenge.
Giving Tree - Colored tags around the base of the Christmas
Tree display needed items for the Women’s and Children’s
Alliance shelters, child care center and facilities. Pick up a tag
and drop items of before December 21.
