Seniors World Cup History of Seniors World Cup S eniors Football Competition consisting of players at the age of 40 and above has been organized in Thailand over 20 years, eventually, the Football Association of Thailand in the collaboration with the sports Authority of Thailand held the first Thailands Seniors Football Cup in 2004 In the year 2004, the Football Association of Thailand first established the national seniors football team by assigning the board council of the Football Association of Thailand, Mr.Thepitak Chansuthep to be in charge as the team manager and The former deputy prime minister Mr.Somsak Thepsuthin to be in charge as the team leader. on October 2004 the team also attended the International Seniors Football Cup held at Malaysia with 4 participating teams consisting of Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Australia. The Football Association of Thailand and Thailand Senior Footballers Association, which was established to take care of seniors football players, had the decision to widen the seniors football match and open for more seniors football team from over the world to participate as the FIFA World Cup. The first Seniors World Cup 2006 was held in Phuket Phang-nga And Krabi.
