• America, however, was ready for a change. 

• More Rock specializing in rhythm and blues– The Supremes, Aretha Franklin, Jimi Hendrix, The Temptations

• Bob Dylan helped bring about folk music revival

• The Beach Boys appealed to high schoolers

• The Beatles, from England, burst into US

• 1960's began with crew cuts on men and bouffant hairstyles on women.
