Transcript of The 14 Stock Characters of the Social Media World
While sites like Facebook, Pinterest, and
Twitter are used by people of all ages,
beliefs, and geographical regions, how we
choose to use these platforms can be
rather . . . limited.
In the spirit of science, we decided to
categorize the primary types of people
you’re most likely to encounter on social
media. While our list isn’t a comprehensive
analysis on the sociology of social media, it
encompases the majority of people who
regularly update their accounts. Have you
seen any of these folks in your news feed
lately?
The Food Documentarian is determined to post a picture of every local, organic, gluten-free, carbon-neutral, sustainable meal they ever eat.

The Lovebird was once a separate, independent person. Then that special someone showed up and now every post is a different expression of their love or a picture of them together.

The Liker rarely posts any of their own content, and you may not even talk to them on a regular basis. But if you update your profile, you can bet that you’ll get a like within minutes.
The troll pushes everyone’s buttons with provocative posts and comments, and their sole intention is to start a fight (and hope things get ugly).
