HOD Message
Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be
truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. --Steve Jobs
I am happy that the Department of Computer Science of our college is releasing the first e-magazine by the students. I appreciate the efforts put in by the student editors and Staff involved in this task. Let this activity continue not only to exhibit the talents of our students but also be a base to sharpen their career and lead a happy life. May the Almighty bless all the students to learn to enjoy every minute of their life and not wait for something outside of them to make them happy in the future.

Social media is the collection of online communications channels dedicated to community-based input,
interaction, content-sharing and collaboration. Social media technologies take many different forms including
blogs, business networks, enterprise social networks, forums, micro blogs, photo sharing, social bookmarking,
social gaming, video sharing and virtual worlds. The common features of social media sites are User accounts,
Profile pages, Friends, followers, groups, and hash tags, News feeds, Personalization, Notifications, Information
updating, saving or posting, like buttons and comment sections, Review, rating or voting systems, etc. Prominent
examples of social media include face book, twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Reddit, Pinterest, Instagram, etc. As every
coin has two sides, social media too has both pros and cons of which a few are listed below Brighter Side of
Social Media.
Social networking sites spread information faster than any other media.
Social networking sites made it easier to find old friends or families
Social networking sites allow people to improve their relationships and make new friends
Most economical way to get in touch with someone
Brings people of same interests together
Allows professionals to create a network easily
Social media sites help employers find employees and job-seekers find work
Social media facilitates political change
It helps advertising our brand
For actors, musicians or writers it is the best tool to promote their work
Law enforcement uses social networking sites to catch and prosecute criminals
Social networking sites help people who are socially isolated or shy connect with other people
Social media sites empower individuals to make social change and do social good on a community level
Social media helps empower business women
Being a part of a social networking site can increase a person's quality of life and reduce the risk of
health problems
Social networking sites facilitate face-to-face interaction
Social networking sites increase voter participation
Social networking is good for the economy
Social networking sites help senior citizens feel more connected to society
Social media allows for quick, easy dissemination of public health and safety information from reputable
sources
Social media can help disarm social stigmas
"Crowdsourcing" and "Crowd funding" on social media allows people to collectively accomplish a goal
Social networking provides academic research to a wider audience, allowing many people access to
previously unavailable educational resources
Corporations and small businesses use social media to benefit themselves and consumers
Social networking sites offer teachers a platform for collaboration with other teachers and
communication with students outside the classroom
Social networking sites offer a way for musicians and artists to build audiences even if they don’t have a
corporate contract
These sites allow us to send and receive messages, upload photos, and videos. As such, they are very
interactive as we can get to see what our friends and relatives are up to
Ill-effects of Social Media
Social media enables the spread of unreliable and false information
Social networking sites lack privacy and expose users to government and corporate intrusions
Students who are heavy social media users tend to have lower grades
They cause users to spend less time outdoors and to be less active
Social networking sites can lead to stress and offline relationship problems
Social networking sites entice people to waste time
Using social media can harm job stability and employment prospects
The use of social networking sites is correlated with personality and brain disorders, such as the inability
to have in-person conversations, a need for instant gratification, ADHD, and self-centred personalities, as
well as addictive behaviours
Social media causes people to spend less time interacting face-to-face
Criminals use social media to commit and promote crimes
It spreads rumours
They bring out the nastiest conversation, because participants feel anonymous
Another danger is that scammers use social networking sites to trick people into downloading malicious
software
Social networking sites harm employees' productivity
Social networking sites facilitate cyber bullying
People who use social networking sites are prone to social isolation
Social networking sites encourage amateur advice and self-diagnosis for health problems which can lead
to harmful or life-threatening results
Social media aids the spread of hate groups
Children may endanger themselves by not understanding the public and viral nature of social networking
sites
Social networking sites' advertising practices may constitute an invasion of privacy
Unauthorized sharing on social networking sites exposes artists to copyright infringement, loss of
intellectual property, and loss of income
Social media posts cannot be completely deleted and all information posted can have unintended
consequences
Social networking site users are vulnerable to security attacks such as hacking, identity theft, and
viruses
GOOGLE GLASS G. Angayarkanni
Assistant Professor
Project Glass is a research and development program by Google to develop an augmented reality Head-Mounted Display (HMD). The intended purpose of Project Glass products would be the hands-free displaying of information currently available to most smartphone users, and allowing for interaction with the Internet via natural language voice commands. These glasses will have
the combined features of virtual reality and augmented reality. Google glasses are basically wearable computers that will use the same Android software that powers Android smartphones and tablets. Google Glass is as futuristic a gadget we’ve seen in recent times. A useful technology for all kinds of people including handicapped/disabled. It is part of the Google X Lab, which
works on other futuristic technologies. The intended purpose of Project Glass products would be the hands-free displaying of information currently available to most smartphone users, and allowing for interaction with the Internet via natural language voice

commands. The functionality and physical appearance has been compared to Steve Mann's EyeTap, which was also referred to as "Glass" ("EyeTap Digital Eye Glass", i.e. uses of the word "Glass" in singular rather than plural form "Glasses"). The operating system software used in the glass will be Google's Android. As per many reports, Google is expected to start selling eyeglasses that will project information,
entertainment and, this being a Google product, advertisements onto the lenses. These glasses will have the combined features of virtual reality and augmented reality. The device will probably communicate with mobile phones through Wi-Fi and display contents on the video screen as well as respond to the voice commands of the user. Google put together a short video demonstrating the features and apps of Google glasses. It
mainly concentrates on the social networking, navigation and communication. The video camera senses the environment and recognizes the objects and people around. The whole working of the Google glasses depends upon the user voice commands itself.

USB flash drive is device that is used to store the data. Cloud
storage is also used to store the data on the middle server. But the
USB flash drive has the drawback that it is too small in size,
because of that it can be easily misplaced or lost. In case of cloud
storage data can be misused if the username and password is
hacked by someone else. To overcome all these problems, iTwin
is the best solution. It is the secure USB device that can be used to
access, share & edit all the files and media between any two
online computers anywhere in the world. It allows remote file
access without any security and privacy risks.
The iTwin Connect is a device similar to a USB flash drive but,
is designed with two USB connections. The iTwin device is very
dense and it establishes a secure connection between two
computers or a secure connection between one computer and the
iTwin server. When you
connect the iTwin Connect device to the main computer in your
home or at office, the software is automatically installed
configure the computer for remote connection. Caption describing picture or graphic.

“itwin lets you create your own
personal cloud”
One of the best features of iTwin device is the
ability to securely access your data by
establishing a personal Virtual Private Network
which is capable of managing several tasks. You
can able to access all your files and data on your
home or office PC by using Windows Explorer.
Otherwise you can access definite files that are
stored in desktop applications. As well as it is
possible to access files from your isolated
computer and save that files to the device that
you are currently using, till both the devices are
enabled with iTwin Connect device.
The 3-D Passwords are more customizable and very interesting
way of authentication now. The Passwords are based on the fact of human
memory. Generally simple passwords are set as to quickly recall them.
The human memory in our scheme has to undergo the facts of
recognition, recalling biometrics (or) token based authentication. Once
implemented and you login to a secure site, the 3-D passwords which the
user can simply put.
Once the user goes through the first authentication, a 3-D virtual
room will open on the screen.
In our case, Let S Say a virtual garage. Now in a day to day
garage one will find all sorts of tools equipment etc. Each of them has
unique properties. The user will then in these properties accordingly.
Once the user goes through the first authentication, a 3-D virtual
room will open on the screen.
This property is common to all objects in the space. Suppose a
user login and enters the garage, the user picks a screw-driver (initial
position in x y z co-ordinates (5, 5, 5) and moves its spaces to his right (in
x y z plane). That can be identified as a authentication. Only the “true
user” understands and recognizes the object which he has to choose
among many.
3-D PASSWORD
Each object in the 3D space, can be
moved around in an (x, y, z) plane.
This property is common to all
objects in the space. Suppose a user login
and enters the garage, the user picks a
screw-driver (initial position in x y z co-
ordinates (5, 5, 5) and moves its spaces to
his right (in x y z plane). That can be
identified as a authentication. Only the
“true user” understands and recognizes the
object which he has to choose among many.
This is the recall and the
recognition part of a human memory.
Coming into pay. Interestingly a password
can be set as approaching a radio and
setting its frequency to number only the
user knows.
The security can be enhanced by
the fact of including cards and biometric
scanner as a input. There can be levels of
authentication a user can undergo.

You are the sunlight in my day, You are the moon I see far away.
You are the tree I lean upon, You are the one that makes troubles be gone.
You are the one who taught me life, How not to fight, and what is right. You are the words inside my song, You are my love, my life, my mom. You are the one who cares for me, You are the eyes that help me see.
You are the one who knows me best, When it's time to have fun and time to rest.
You are the one who has helped me to dream, You hear my heart and you hear my screams.
Afraid of life but looking for love, I'm blessed for God sent you from above. You are my friend, my heart, and my soul
You are the greatest friend I know. You are the words inside my song, You are my love, my life, my Mom.
Preheat the oven of love

Mix in giggles and laughs
That makes your side split in half
Bake with love and care
All things you both should share
Decorate with the frosting of trust
This is really a must
Enjoy the cake do not eat it fast
Just likes your new friendship make it last.

There was a girl who was playing in the park when she
saw a picture in the bush. Since that day, she kept it,
find it, but seen nothing until she get married. Her husband asked her who the little boy
in her wallet is. The girl answered: “MY FIRST LOVE”. Then the boy smiled and said,
“I LOST THIS PICTURE WHEN I WAS 9 YEARS OLD”.

The art of learning,
Starts every morning.
You will love the fun of subjects;
Where each one is different from the next.
Math is easy,
But the calculation makes everyone busy.
The Chemistry and History,
Where everything remains a mystery.
The concept of Physics,
Are like English lyrics.
The list of Botanists is very large,
Who collect sample of plant in barge.
You have to remember a number of logy,
If you want to study Zoology.
You can only understand Computer,
When you have a good tutor.
So take interest in every subject,
They will make you the best.
Teachers are like pens
They write good thoughts in our heart
Teachers are pencil too
They draw the character of our life
Teachers are like brushes
They make our life colorful
Teachers are also like erasers
They erase bad thoughts from our hearts
Teachers are sharpeners too
They sharpen our knowledge
Teachers are like a pair of compass
They draw a perfect future for us
Never forget our teachers
They plan an important role in every phase of our life
