The Chamber Membership Social and BoardElections was a hit with the Murder Mystery play. Wehave a lot of talented members and I appreciate theirparticipation. It was a fun time with lots of laughs. Iwould like to say a special good bye to Dorothy,David and Bob as they leave the Board of Directors.I appreciate all the support and time they provided,

not to mention the guidance that allowed me to grow during my first year atthe Chamber. And warm welcome to our new Board of Directors, Lindall,Bruce and Ronda and a welcome back to Joel. I look forward to workingwith you over the upcoming years. The month of July is a busy one for me personally. I will be out of the officeon vacation for three weeks from July 3rd through the 21st. As most of youknow I am getting married to a wonderful man, Don Murray. I appreciatethe membership's understanding during my absence and with Erin in theoffice by herself. I am leaving everything in her good hands and know shewill do an outstanding job. Erin thanks for helping get everything accom-plished before I left and taking care of everything so there is nothing for meto worry about while I am gone.I completed my second year of Chamber Institute in Madison, WI the firstpart of June. It was a wonderful networking opportunity and learning expe-rience. I look forward to bringing the knowledge back to the Chamber andour community in the upcoming year.

If you have any questions please give me a call at 573-336-5121.

HOT…..HOT……HOT………It started out that wayat Operation Homecoming in Branson and has stayedthat way. Inquiries for additional information hasbeen the same. Website and phone requests are morethan doubled from last year. Look for information onhow to reach those potential customers through the

Tourism Bureau website, in the Visitor Center and through the 2007 visitorguide.

We saw hundreds of Vietnam Veteran's during Operation Homecoming atour booth and most had not been through our area since the late 60's and70's, so it was a great opportunity to talk about the exciting changes andinvite them back. Hopefully we will see a few reunions from them as well. Our next show will not be until this fall when we start our sports marketingshows. If you participate in a regional sporting event and would like to hostyour next one here, give us a call to help. We can provide a lot of the plan-ning and event coordination through our office free of charge.

Thanks to all of the chamber members that supported the Pulaski CountyRegional Fair. We hope you found time to go out and enjoy the shows andevents, in-between the raindrops. Plans have already begun for next year. Ifyou are interested in serving on a Fair committee or have any input for nextyear's event, please send me an e-mail with your request.

Summer is starting to wind down and the Visitor Center is available to thoseof you who procrastinated and didn't plan that family vacation. There areliterally thousands of places to choose, and all within the state of Missouri. All of the information the Visitor Center offers is complimentary so stop byand start those vacation plans before you run out of time.

Hope to see you at the Visitor Center!
