Thank you to the Rotary Club for publishing this important

resource book. One of the many aspects that makes me

proud of our communities is the numerous organizations

and individuals who have organized to help neighbors in

need. As I am fond to state, "'We are all in this together," as

a community, and as a commonwealth, to make sure that

our neighbors are able to meet their basic day-to day needs.

Sincerely,

James M. Cantwell State Representative

Marshfield/Scituate State House- Room 23 Boston, MA 02133 617-722-2140 [email protected]

We are very proud of the Rotary Club for compiling such

a valuable resource for every resident throughout town.

This Resource Book not only shows that there are important

resources available to support Marshfield families but also

indicates our community CARES about the well being of

everyone in our Town.

On behalf of the Marshfield Board of Selectmen,

Matthew McDonough, Chairman of the Board

The information in this booklet was printed at the Marshfield High School QUIP Center by the Rotary Club of Scituate and their partnership with the Chamber of Commerce in Marshfield, Star Market, Pavilion Floors and Roche Brothers. It was researched and prepared by private citizens from Marshfield. It is not a Marshfield Town or School District product and was modeled after a similar booklet which has been well received in Scituate.

This RAMS Booklet is set up with an index of services available by classification. Each of the classifications has a list of organizations providing that type of service. We have made an attempt to identify the local organizations under each category by using BOLD print. If contacted, these organizations may be able to guide people to those that more specifically fit their need or interests. They may also know of other organizations that could not be reached as we put this booklet together.

The organizations themselves are listed alphabetically in the second part of the booklet. Most listings have a short overview paragraph and web, mailing address, and phone contact information if available.

In establishing the need for this document, it became clear that although there are many exceptional organizations available to us, the scope and mission of each organization was not obvious even to those of us who have been town residents for some time. Many of us may suddenly need assistance or want to volunteer, but don’t know what is available to Marshfield citizens. This little pamphlet should get the reader headed in the right direction.

Statement of Purpose for this Booklet

To provide assistance for the residents of Marshfield so that they can easily identify essential resources available for those in need, those who wish to volunteer their time and capabilities, and for those who wish to donate monetary funds or other goods to local worthy causes.
